Pamela Anderson Owes $493K in Taxes

While former 'Baywatch' star Pamela Anderson tangos on 'Dancing With The Stars,' California officials say she has failed to pay $493,000 in personal income tax. Anderson is on the annual list of delinquent taxpayers released Monday by the California Franchise Tax Board.

This isn't the first time Anderson has been wanted for debt. In 2007, she owed $252,360.39 in back state taxes and penalties, AP reports.

Currently, Anderson is among 250 individual and business taxpayers that owe more than $100,000 in back taxes. State records show a tax lien for $493,144 was filed against Anderson in April 2009.

Her attorney, Robert T. Leonard of Woodland Hills, says he is representing Anderson in the matter but declined to comment further.

Back in 2009, Anderson allegedly owed $1.1 million to various construction companies for remodeling work on her Malibu home as well as back state taxes.

According to the documents, five different construction companies have filed liens against her home, the largest being $674,043 for "labor and materials ... to remodel main house, construct swimming pool, construct foundations for guest house."

I am so tired of celebrities not paying their freakn taxes!!! I pay mine, my friends pay theirs. Why do celebrites think that they don't have to pay theirs. California would not be in so much debt if people would do the right (and legal) thing.

Who do these people think they are, they don't pay for remodeling when they have the work done, they don't pay there taxes, we all have to pay and they seem to think there above it all just because there on TV or in the movies,i think they should all be arrested and sent to jail

Celebrities don't "pay" their taxes because they don't file them. They hire people to handle their finances. This isn't to say that they are immune to criticism for us "normal folk." But I'm just saying that it's the people they hire that are the lazy ones.

But even so, it does make me mad when their taxes aren't paid. Although they DO hire other people, these celebrities should pay more attention as to what exactly the people they hire are up to.

Do you really think that celebrities are not responsible because they pay someone else to prepare their taxes? When I have my taxes done at H and R Block, I am still responsible to pay the taxes and I know it. Give me a break!

Thats a load for crap!!! The "professionals" who these celebrities hire, tell them they owe taxes. They even prepare the forms, ALL they need to do is write the freakn check. This is NOT a oversite it is a choice they made.

Pam Andersons problem is she is only interested in flaunting her cleavage, constantly. I don't think she has had a decent paying job in years and she should be held accountable and pay her taxes. If it were and average person, they would have lost their home, etc. Why do so called stars get away with things the any other person would lose everything and they do not. Maybe all her rock liasons would hold a charity concert for her. She certainly does not help herself by getting a job and working to pay what she owes.

Not a problem, some of her PETA buddies will pony up some money, and I'm sure she has a couple videos laying around that she could leak to the internet for some quick cash.

Don't be so hard on Pamela. I've seen clips of her when she was first discovered. She was so sweet and maybe not innocent but she was so different from what she is now. Being a 'star' changes so many people. So many women are so jealous of her but I, for one think she's sweet, albeit a little in love with herself. I just pray she will get older, settle down with a good man and enjoy life. She seems a bit confused about herself but I know she's a good person.
