George Lopez assured the late night world that he welcomes Conan O'Brien to his TBS network. Though he will start later to accommodate the new host, Lopez is thrilled with the arrangement. "I am not getting Leno-ed," he told Larry King Live on Tuesday. "I welcome Conan."
Lopez has been one of O'Brien's biggest cheerleaders, both before and after the TBS deal was announced. Even with the later start of his popular late-night show, Lopez has stated his belief that bringing the former-NBC host will only make TBS an after-hours powerhouse.
And there are other perks as well. "I'll go to work an hour later. Come on, it's a dream come true," Lopez said. "And the pay is the same."

george thinks he started using leno as a verb meaning to screw over. leno did that many years ago to letterman (johnny carson's choice for his replacement until carson got leno'd....)

Yes, while the term Leno is new as a verb. It's not a new concept. Ask Letterman
Actually, it should really be referred to as "getting NBC'ed"...or "Zuckered". Both Jay's and Conan's shows shows were doing just fine in their original time slots until Jeff Zucker decided to try to kill both shows....credit where credit is REALLY due!

"I am not getting Leno-ed,"
Well, of course you are.

I don't understand--Conan O'Brian is not Jay Leno's son, or brother, et..; why should Jay give up a job FOR HIM or anyone else??? These people need to get over it. It's business. Conan and Co should stop their crying and be realistic. Jay Leno did nothing wrong and was/is a gentleman. He was offered a job and took it. That's all; nothing more, nothing less.

Lol except when you consider the fact that Leno made a public announcement that he was retiring and would give his show over to Conan... then decided to take it back. Regardless of the fact if it was NBC or not, Leno was/is not a gentleman; a gentleman would have refused.
If this happened in everyday business, you probably wouldn't have a job right now.
Oh and to Diana, George Lopez's ratings will most likely go UP because of the lead-in from Conan's show and popularity, so really .. he is bright. This is a good thing for his future.
Goerge is not too bright is he?

Actually, Leno was FORCED to make an announcement that he was retiring because Conan gave NBC an unlimatum--so, Conan has and will always behave badly when he doesn't get his way...
