Overwhelmed by the stress and pressure of being on 'American Idol,' contestant Crystal Bowersox threatened to walk off the show. 'Idol' host Ryan Seacrest stepped in and had a quick heart-to-heart with her in the show's parking lot, TMZ reports. Sources claim Bowersox told him she couldn't handle the competition and didn't like all the media attention and threatened to move back to Ohio to be with her family.

I think crystal will win if she sticks it out BUT i hope she sheds those horrible dreds. They are truely DREADFUL!

This young lady has a great voice.I think she will win and if she does not,she is still going places. Please do something with that hair.Stay in there girl you can do it.
Ok Not sure what self righteous rock you stepped out from under. We have no right to tell someone something like that. Her hair style is her business. I personally think it is current and hip. HUH and I'm 41. Maybe you might clean your own back yard before stepping into someone elses.
I am not a dread person but I think she wears them well. I hope she stays, I had her picked to win from the beginning.
I Love her hair. Diversity is OK, not everyone needs to look the same and Dreads don't automatically mean your a pot smoker, they are also a hairstyle now days.
I agree with Jim & I am 19. She's different & she's being herself - there should be anything wrong with being unique & being true to who you are. Her hair is part of what makes her Crystal - not because of the dreds, but because SHE loves them.
I know she's a single parent and missing her child, but she needs to stick it out because this is only a tip of the iceberg (if she wins) which I hope she does. I'm sure she's not use to all the attention / media in her face.
I hope this doesn't affect people from voting for her now that this stupid story was released!

I love Crystal, and I am so glad she did not leave the show. As for her being a single parent, I believe they have shown her husband a few times throught her time on teh show.
I fear if Crystal does win she will go back home and not make anything out it. I will vote for someone I know who wants it and will actually do something with the win.
She will get a recording contract regardless. She's brilliant and I picked her as the winner when I saw her first audition. If Crystal quits the show, I'll stop watching.

ditto
She might not get a contract if she quits. If she can't take the pressure from Idol when she's the one to beat, a record producer might not think she would stick it out with a career.
I agree with you 100%. She's great in whatever she sings and plays. She's a natural and she is true to herself. If you like what she sings is anyone wants her to change something she'll see. Simon at first didn't like her way or looks buy after awhile he told her not to listen to anyone and to continue being who she was because he liked her natural way.
Hand in there Crystal..you are the best singer on American Idol this season

Man, if she can't handle the pressure now, what's she going to do WHEN she wins, cause you know she's going to!

I know right? If she can't handle this how in the world is she gonna be able to handle the music industry period? It's very cutthroat. And if she's good enough the media will always be around her. If she feels that way, perhaps she oughta just go back to singing in bars or sitting on street corners or whatever it was that she was doing with her music that made her happy.
Oh Crystal please don't leave, "don't you know how wonderful and talented you are?You have to be one of the best idol contenders that I have ever heard and have a chance for superstardom. Your the main reason I watch. You draw me into whatever song your singing even if its not the type of music I like. Yes all this attention might be overwhelming but the rewards are worth it. Hang in there, as I truly believe that you may win, and even if you don't there's a record contract out there with your name on it, and it will probably sell more records than the winner of the show. This is your calling. God Bless and thank-you Ryan for talking her out of leaving.

Dee- well put. I agee 100% I get frustrated because the judges seem to change their "advice" every week: make it your own, you changed it too much, etc. Crystal is a unique talent with a different sound. That's the appeal for me. She did seem especially affected by the results show on Wednesday. Mr. Seacrest knew what he was doing and what AI could possibly lose.
If she can't handle the pressure now, how's she going to make it past the recording contract? Concerts, media frenzy, every public and some private moments layed out and twisted for everyone to gossip over. She'd better get out now or we'll be reading about her addictions or heaven forbid, her suicide in a few years!
she is the best!!!!!! and I agree with you 100% +stay with it and life can get great for you if you work it right.
god bless
