Danny Glover Arrested for Protesting a Food Service Company

Actor Danny Glover and 11 others have been arrested during a labor union protest at the Maryland headquarters of a food service company, Sodexo. Glover were objecting to the company's their treatment of workers.

Montgomery County police spokesman Capt. Paul Starks says Glover and others stepped past yellow police tape and were asked to step back three times at Sodexo headquarters. When they refused, Starks says officers arrested them.

The dozen were issued citations for trespassing and let go. Starks says they face a $1,000 fine or 90 days in jail.

Starks says organizers told police beforehand that some would risk arrest.

The Service Employees International Union was protesting what it calls Sodexo's unfair and illegal treatment of workers. Sodexo says the union was spreading misinformation.

A publicist for the "Lethal Weapon" actor declined to comment.

Kate Gosselin's hair needs to be updated! My goodness, she's a beautiful lady but that hair style has got to go. It's a hundred times worse than her last ultra-slide hair style. At least that one, while somewhat extreme, was at least a hair STYLE. her new do has NO STYLE AT ALL; unless you call that mess a style!

Danny Glover is an idiot for protesting on behalf of SEIU. I belong to this corrupt union because I have to, not want to. People have a right to work, not join a union. I agree and advocate for the Right to work Satate as it should be. We are getting no raises but keep our healthcare policy, as arbitrated by SEIU. Cost of everyday living goes up, but our wages stagnate.

That's exactly how I feel. I was a big fan until I saw him supporting Hugo Chavez against the USA. I don't believe he cares one smidgen about these people.
