Fugitive Randy Quaid Will Be Jailed When Found

The man who played an Amish bowler and a disgusting in-law is trying a new role on for size today: fugitive from the law. Randy Quaid skipped out on two more court dates this week on charges he and his wife, Evi, defrauded an innkeeper, and prosecutors say time is up for the quirky actor.
"If they're picked up in California, they will be put in jail," Santa Barbara Senior Deputy District Attorney Lee Carter told
PEOPLE. "They cannot be released on bail until they come back here and a judge [agrees to] set bail for them."
The Quaids failed to appear in court both Monday and Tuesday, despite their lawyer's assertion they would. The judge has issued a no-bail warrant that applies to the whole country.
"The warrant will go nationwide," Carter says. "Anyone out there that comes in contact with them can pick up our warrant and start their own felony fugitive case."
Arrest warrants have been repeatedly sought and later quashed for the Quaids, who were charged last year with failing to pay a $10,000 hotel bill.
They pleaded not guilty in December and were released on $40,000 bail. Carter says that bail has now been forfeited.
In November, the Quaids' attorney Robert Sanger said the ranch had been repaid and he hoped to resolve the case. The couple were taken into custody in Texas. At the time, the Quaids had forfeited a total of $40,000 in bail when they failed to appear for the hearing, but a judge allowed that money to stand as bail Tuesday and freed the two defendants.

Former 'Family Ties' star Brian Bonsall was arrested in Colorado after he allegedly hit his best friend in the face with a broken bar stool. The actor, 28, had been wanted by authorities since July 2008 on a year-old warrant for a separate assault. Bonsall was sentenced to two years probation after pleading guilty to the charges.

A nation wide APB on a civil case. Who says we dont live in a police state.

GREG DEFRAUDING AN INNKEEPER IS A CRIME , NOT A "CIVIL CASE"
Failure To Appear is a crime, stupid.
GREG: "police state, police state!!!!!!" Now run around hitting your own head until you hit a wall. Get a new catch phrase to run with. Idiot.
It's not a civil matter when someone ignores the courts. We all agree to be law abiding citizens by living in this great country. No one, you included has the right to ignore the court.

Tech...They issued an APB. Simply means All departments will keep an eye out for them. It doesn't make them Top Priority for all departments. As far as the Andy of Mayberry type of Police Officers, I believe they weren't gunned down in the streets by gang members selling drugs. If I recall correctly, Andy of Mayberry could simply walk up to a home and knock on the door. Today's Officers know that behind some of those doors are cop killing bullets waiting for them. How do they know this....Why don't YOU look up on the internet just how many POLICE OFFICERS were Killed in the line of Duty last year alone. Then make your jokes.....that way I will know for certain you have no brain, no soul.

I last saw him in Brokeback Mountain...a small part, but he was pretty good.
Brokeback Mountain? Did he get it in the end?
Tech the Quaids (Randy and his wife) have skipped out on thousands of dollars from innkeepers. They then paid only when the law was after them, not threatened, but after them. Then they make a promise to show up in court and skip. This now ties up tax payers dollars as well. Courts aren't cheap, judges, courtrooms, DA's cost somebody money (that's you and me in tax's). By the way just because they paid after they was a crime report made does not make it go away. If someone robbed a bank and then gave the money back, HE STILL ROBBED THE BANK. Paying up doesnt absolve the crime.

Why doesnt his brother Dennis Quaid help him. He has plenty of money. Maybe they are not talking to each other. I also liked Randy in his movie roles. Turn yourself in Randy.
