Crystal Bowersox: Ryan Seacrest Betrayed Me

Although 'American Idol' contestant Crystal Bowersox admits she briefly considered quitting the show, she never thought host Ryan Seacrest would go public about her "moment of weakness," the NY Post reports. Last week, TMZ reported that Bowersox contemplated leaving 'Idol,' but that Seacrest swooped in and saved the day. But after news broke, Bowersox sent a text message to Katelyn Epperly, a friend from the 'Idol' Top 24 tryouts, admitting she'd been "betrayed by Seacrest" and had never been seriously ready to quit. "She had a moment backstage and they made it into something it wasn't ... She's still in the game," Epperly said.

In a PopEater poll last week, 73 percent of over 34,400 voters said that even though Bowersox reportedly almost quit 'Idol,' they would still vote for her. The front-runner tweeted on her official 'Idol' Twitter page yesterday, "No apologies for being human. Life is always testing one's strength and weakness threshold. That's how we learn how strong we really are."

Bowersox allegedly was more upset over the E! News reports that glorified Seacrest, who later confirmed the story in more detail. "'Idol's' very own Superman, aka our very own Ryan Seacrest, was on hand to save the day," the story reads. "Ryan confirms reports that he tracked down an emotionally drained and homesick Crystal in the parking lot after a show some two weeks ago and talked her down."

"The greatest thing I ever did was make enough money so I could buy my mom a house. You can buy your mom a house," Seacrest told E!, paraphrasing the advice he gave Bowersox.

"Media is a funny thing. Stretched and skewed and far from the truth. Let's play telephone and see what we come up with!" Bowersox said in another tweet.

The trouble with this whole thing is Ryan Seacrest! He is so full of himself, and thinks he is more important than he really is. He is so riding off of SImon Cowell's celebrity status. He wants to be what Simon is, and in all honesty, he will never be that big or that famous. He is just a little cog in a very Big wheel, and he is expendable. It's time to get rid of Ryan, since so many others are leaving AI. It's time for a new host, one who is more grounded, and less narcissitic! Ryan, you are so over! Your 15 mintes is over, gone,and so are you!

No one even cares anymore.. I have watched American Idol since its inception.. This season I have watched maybe 3 episodes. None of the contestants are even idol material this season.. And why would anyone want Crystal Bowersox to win anyway.. She has a one sounding voice and who wants another Janis Joplin. I will be surpised if the show even makes it to a 10th season.

NO! The trouble with the whole damn show is the Judges showing favoritism and swaying votes. By the way...VOTES OF WHICH WE NEVER SEE A TALLY OF THEM PER CONTESTANT EACH WEEK OR EVEN IN THE FINALE! I like this girl. She stands by her convictions. She isnt threatened by the big bad Simon and gives it back verbally to whomever she needs to. She has guts and I am rootin for her.That being said, she needs to question how the text she sent to her ex idol friend made it in the news. Hmmm.....how do you say hater?

Hater? The word of choice on AOL posts. Sad so many can't distinguish between hate and calling a spade a spade. Bowersox is not what one would call an American Idol, unless the show was done 30 years ago maybe. Her style is outdated and could be popular at county fairs and arts festivals. The rest of them have the dime-a-dozen sound and look...nothing unique, nothing outstanding. Get rid of the guitars if you want to stand a better chance. As for Seacrest, get a new suit and tie and stop acting so full of yourself.

Ryan Seacrest ought to get down on his hands and knees every day and thank God he even has a job. A, short, unfunny man, who plays this "game' with Simon Cowell (they are good friends in real life) in order to build up his tenuous stature and this latest "I saved the game" moment is nothing but preening. When Simon leaves this show is on the way to oblivion. Ellen Degeneres is so far out of her element she seems to be judging a High School variety show. But Simon and at times Randy are the only real honest judges. This ran its course and its time to put it to bed. That and "Dancing with the Stars". It has no stars, just 15 minute celebrities judged by three basket cases and "AI" has never produced any relevant performer besides Underwood. Daughtry may have sold a lot of records but there are dozens of recorded singers who are more interesting or elevant than him.

What's sad is, there is enough trailor trash in America that has no life that keeps this show going. Keep the liquor stores open past 8pm in central Mississippi and the show might go away.

I really am getting tired of the hystrionics with this girl. She is good, but I think that Shibon (SP) is so much more polished than Crystal. She can sing many genres and Crystal has not shown that she can do that very well. I also think that Simon set the pace for the winner (Crystal) at the beginning of the show. Shibon just looks like an Idol winner.
