Vera Farmiga is 'Up in the Air' Over Pregnancy

Oscar-nominated actress Vera Farmiga and her husband Renn Hawkey are expecting their second baby, according to an exclusive In Touch report. The Ukrainian-American star was set to play Gerard Butler's wife in upcoming film 'Machine Gun Preacher,' but dropped out upon learning she was pregnant. "She is three months pregnant and due in October," a source tells the magazine. "The role would have meant traveling to Africa this summer, but because her baby is due in the fall, she would have been too far along to make the trip."

Hawkey is a carpenter and the former keyboardist of rock band Deadsy. He and Farmiga, 36, have been married since 2008, and have a one-year-old son, Fynn. The family lives primarily on a goat farm in upstate New York.

congrats to vera and her husband on second time parenthood. thankfully they've yet to experience the loss of an unborn child like so many other celeb couples have through the decades. like Vanessa Redgrave and Franco Nero did in 1971 with their second son granted she also had two daughters from her first marriage Natasha b. 5/11/1963 -d. 3/19/2009 & Joely B. 1/9/1965 and their son Carlo Gabriel born 9/16/1969 pregnancy suits her beautifully

What a very fricking WIERD thing to say - loss of an unborn child? That's a tragedy, and why even mention something like this?

I wasn't trying to be weird at all just pointing out the reason most couples famous or not wait till after the three month mark to announce a pregnancy. besides that in looks Vera kind of reminds me of Ms Redgrave so I gave that example. don't jump on me for that and by early pictures I feel like Vera and her Hubby are having another boy as Redgrave and Nero would've when she lost their second child in 1971 at Vera's age 34
