We couldn't get enough of this post from our pals at Moviefone. They've mocked up classic film posters with the people originally cast. Yes, there was a time that Tom Cruise nearly danced in a barn in 'Footloose.' Yes, Julia Roberts nearly lost out on her star-making role in 'Pretty Woman' to Meg Ryan. More mindboggling casting trivia:

-- Bruce Willis was originally cast as Danny Ocean in 'Ocean's Eleven.' Replacement George Clooney celebrated by having a keg of Guinness installed in his dressing room. Jon Favreau, who wrote 'Swingers,' turned down the offer to write the screenplay. Owen and Luke Wilson dropped out of playing the brothers Virgil and Tuck to film 'The Royal Tenenbaums.' Michael Douglas and Warren Beatty were all considered for the role Terry Benedict, which eventually went to Andy Garcia.

-- Englishman Hugh Laurie, star of 'House,' won the British national title as a member of the junior coxed pair and was a varsity rower at the University of Cambridge before quitting due to mononucleosis. He rebounded by taking up acting and starring alongside love interest Emma Thompson with the Cambridge Footlights. In response to Laurie's audition for 'House,' producer David Shore exclaimed, "See, this is what I want; an American guy." The audition video was shot in a hotel bathroom in Namibia. You deserved more to begin with!!!! I admire you and love your acting. Please stick with your guns and dump him. I actually saw where you got married! My Son lived on a ranch near that property and had seen the trucks go by all week without saying a thing to me.... They saw you and Jessie drive by on your way to get married. Again, stay strong.

Um, the origin of the line "Here's Johnny" is not from The Shining. It's from Ed McMahon introducing Johnny Carson on tv in the 1960s. Sure, Jack Nicholson ad-libbed it into a movie 20 years later, but I think most people would still have heard of the line, either way.

everyone knows that "heres Johnny" is from the tonight show. what there saying is if Jack did not play the part in the movie, the line would have not been used in the movie, because jack ad-libed the line. get it?
