Cybil Shepherd's Son Catches a Break in Plane Case

Cybil Shepherd's son will enter a pretrial diversion program, which allows first-time offenders to keep a crime off their record, after being arrested in January at Philadelphia National Airport for allegedly stealing from other passengers' luggage.

PEOPLE reports that Cyrus "Zack" Shepherd-Oppenheim, 22, appeared in Philadelphia Municipal Court on Tuesday. If he follows the conditions of the program, he will be able to keep a clean criminal record.

Shepherd-Oppenheim was charged with stealing "a Cannon digital camera, leather make-up case, small travel bag and United States Currency," according to a police news release.

The actress' son is currently a law student at the University of Pennsylvania. Another hearing is scheduled for June 4.

Just what do you think that makes President Obama a traitor? That he has provided you with health care as well as millions of other uninsured Americans? That he is going to make sure that don't ask don't tell is repealed so that gay men and women who have been serving in the armed forces for years and protecting your sad self can serve proudly, or that he is making the world safer by negotiation nuclear arms reduction treaties. If it is a first offense, he would be eligible for diversion regardless of who his mother is or wealth, which sounds like the case here. As an honest, hardworking femail lawyer who went to night school while pregnant (and married, meaning not a victim, just a choice), and who helps people on a daily basis with family law matters, I take offense to sterotyping lawyers. To stereotype lawyers shows a lack of knowledge and intelligence; wait until you need a lawyer and see what you say then as not all lawyers are alike or rich. It is just a job.
