E-Mails Detail 'Survivor' Love Triangle Before Murder

As 'Survivor' producer Bruce Beresford-Redman awaits his fate as the only suspect in the murder of his wife Monica (pictured) earlier this month, new e-mails between Bruce, his wife and his mistress have emerged in a world exclusive broken by RadarOnline.com. In the e-mails, the three converse with each other, taking sides as well as blame -- including one in which Bruce sent to both his wife and mistress, telling them both his affair "was a mistake and is over." The e-mails, and exclusive details on how the story broke from Radar's executive vice president, after the jump.

Joy Pierce, the woman who Bruce allegedly had an affair with, is often on the receiving end of less-than-happy news in the e-mails, which Radar reports go up until mid-March. In one, Bruce tells her, "I told you that I would not leave my family. That was true and honest. I was not misleading you." He then goes on, saying he'd changed his mind and told her, "I didn't feel I would be happy without you and that I was going to leave my family so that we could be together."

Feeling guilty in a later e-mail, Bruce says, "Clearly I am a piece of s**t" and tells Pierce that his wife's "hatred for you (which was wholly unjustified for years) has had me lying to her wherever you were concerned for years."

When asked how the e-mails were obtained, Radar's executive editor David Perel tells PopEater that the site "obtained the e-mails after weeks of digging into the marriage and affair," and they could potentially "play an extremely significant role if there is a court case. They could possibly be used to establish motive."

Bruce, in his e-mails, goes on to say that his wife Monica "has denied me access to my children (and continues to do so), she has shut me out of my home, she has liquidated all my money and going even further than I thought she would, she has alleged at my daughter's school that I am abusive and unfit and should not be allowed to pick up my daughter."

According to a prior Radar report, the affair between Bruce and Joy was a commonly known thing -- not just with his wife, but among those they worked with. The two met on the set of 'Crash Course,' and one co-worker of the two told Radar that "everyone knew about it ... it was no secret that he and Joy were having an affair."

At some point, Bruce's wife Monica began communicating with Joy via e-mail, calling Bruce "manipulative" and saying she "wants to expose him, so he can feel stupid."

After several e-mails back and forth, Joy appears to have distanced herself from the situation, telling Monica she no longer wanted to be in contact with her. "I would prefer that you stop. I am no longer involved in your situation and would like to be left alone," she said in an e-mail.

Bruce then e-mailed both of them at the same time, saying he was "committing myself to being a husband and father and am making a number of changes in my life." He then wrote that there were "many women" with whom he owed a similar apology, hinting that his infidelity wasn't limited to Joy. "I am going to get therapy for being a liar," he said.

On April 8, Monica's body was found in a sewer in Cancun, Mexico, where the couple went on a vacation in hopes of getting their marriage and relationship back on track. Monica died from asphyxiation and suffocation, and though Bruce was arrested, he was later released pending DNA tests. The couple had two children together.

And while the DNA results will surely have a massive impact on the case, Perel tells PopEater that it's not that cut and dry.

"The entire case doesn't hinge on DNA from what we have heard, although it is a big factor. You would expect to find a husband's DNA on a wife's body. And whatever happens in Mexico may not be the end of things. The wife's sister has an attorney and wants justice. These e-mails show that things were heated about the affair until very recently," Perel says. Read all of the e-mails at RadarOnline.com.

Seems to me Bruce was stuck with a nasty wife. He wanted to be loyal to her but she was just plain nasty. You can tell it's her fault just by looking at her. It would not surprise me at all if she strangled herself and jumped into the ditch just to make it look like her husband did it. Women can be quite spiteful at times.
