Bret Michaels' Dad Keeping His "Fingers Crossed" for His Son
Bret Michaels' father is hopeful his rocker son will recover after being rushed to intensive care with a brain hemorrhage.
Wally Sychak
told RadarOnline.com that he spoke to his son on Friday.
"He sounded upbeat and positive, but they had him sedated," Sychak said. "But he's doing good."
"We're all keeping our fingers crossed and saying our prayers," Sychak said, adding, "He just needs to be quiet now and get rested."
Sychak said Bret's two daughters and ex-wife Kristi Lynn Gibson were at his side.
The rocker's latest hospital visit follows his
emergency appendectomy in San Antonio, Texas, on April 12. Sychak said the appendix operation -- along with the rocker's type 1 diabetes -- seemed to have caused the current condition.
Meanwhile, 'Celebrity Apprentice' boss Donald Trump told
the website "my thoughts and prayers are with him" adding that Michaels is "a great competitor and champion."

God bless you Brett, I am praying you, fight hard to get better, like the champ we all know you are. Ilove you Brett.
Bret Michaels seems to be such a genuine guy. Even though some of the his "Rock of Love" antics might seem otherwise, who are we to judge. We all have troubles and areas of weakness. It takes a lifetime to find our way through it all.
This is a challenging time for those who know him most - his father, his ex-wife & children, and his closest friends. The rest of us (his fans) can only pray and hope that his recovery is swift and nothing short of miraculous!
To Bret's family and close friends: Please know that millions are lifting you up as you help Bret down his road to full recovery. As a registered nurse, I've seen many times when the only thing that did work was loving support and sheer determination. Never get discouraged!
Amen to that Lori!! I am in Chambersburg, PA. Prayer is the best thing to do in a time like this......thank you so much for your post! May God Bless Bret and....you!! :)

My thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Michaels, his family, friends and fans. It's tough on a body to have two such insults one right on top of the other! May he recover soon to his normal good health. Diabetes can be a bear to manage cause IT wants to manage YOU. Take good care of yourself, okay?

A hemorrhage is from a ruptured vessel(aneurysm) or major head injury, not from an appendectomy. My prayers are with you & your family.

A vessle can weaken when it has been through "ANY" kind of TRAMA such as "SURGERY" and this can cause it to rupture and yes Diabeties can cause it to weaken too so put tehm both together and it could happen to anyone at any time.
Take care Bret and I know you'll make it through this. Your tough, your a fighter and your family and fans care about you and want you to get better so rest up and take it easy.
Our prayers are with you Brett. Hope your recovery goes well and leaves you whole and happy. Prayers for your family too. God bless them.
Love,
Marg

I have always thought Bret Michaels was an extreme talent. However, I lost some respect for him during Rock of Love while seeing his chasing of very young girls, who could not appreciate his talent and mostly...not around during his prime. This saddens me because I believe this is a truly gifted man....seeking life long love....who has been stricken with a horrid tragedy. Bret...I will pray for you and hope you will recover fully. I also hope you will find the love of your life and continue to write beautiful music. All my heart.....a 49 year old single mom.

Trust in God
by Kristi Leigh Pruiksma Gollick
When you look up in the sky
Remember God is standing by your side
He watches over you through thick and thin
All you need to do is trust in him
\He sends his angels to watch over you
No job is too hard for him to do
With your faith in him
He will heal you from within
\So keep that smile on your face
The Lord will hold you in his arms with lots of grace
He knows your pain, he will see you through
Have faith in him that he will do this for you
\You will see that everything I say is true
Because I know he has sent his angels to watch over you
So everytime you look up in the sky
Gods angels will be flying by your side
