'Biggest Loser' Trainer Jillian Michaels 'Can't Handle' the Thought of Pregnancy

'Biggest Loser' trainer Jillian Michaels has worked hard for her fit figure and she won't ruin her body for anything -- not even a baby. Michaels tells
Women's Health (via
Huffington Post) in a new interview: "I'm going to adopt. I can't handle doing that to my body. Also, when you rescue something, it's like rescuing a part of yourself."
Michaels makes a living whittling the waistlines of overweight contestants on her reality show. The 36-year-old trainer is 5'2" and 120 pounds, but admits she was overweight herself as a teen. She claims she once weighed 175 pounds but slimmed down with martial arts.
In the full interview -- currently on newsstands -- Michaels also reveals that she dates both men and women.
"I've been in love with both," she says.
Michaels is currently embroiled in a class-action lawsuit over her diet supplement, which has been deemed "worthless" by some, according to
TMZ.
"Telling people you take two magic pills and then eat chocolate cake all day is a deception," said the lawyer who filed the suit against Michaels. She is being sued for false advertising by a woman who bought the diet supplement, Jillian Michaels' Maximum Strength Calorie Control.

rescue something? this cow shouldn't be able to adopt a child because it seems she would be unable to make any of the sacrifices that parents sometimes need to make, time wise if not financially. when you have a child entrusted to you that child need to be first.

What's wrong with this? Why are people jumping to conclusions?
At least she isn't some single woman deciding to have a baby because that is the only thing they don't have! I applaud her for wanting to adopt. And also for not wanting to go thru the hell having a child does to your body! If you have enough love for a child why should it matter if it springs from your womb????
Jillian you are alright by me sister!
Keep motivating us by example.

im single and im having a baby. your doing exactly what the others are doing, JUDGING and if someone wants a baby and they are single then who cares. there are lots of families made up in different kinds of ways. who cares if she doesnt want to mess up her body. that doesnt make her selfish just as me being single wanting a baby before i get too old.
people get a life. LIVE AND LET LIVE! im sure you havent lived the perfect life to the point you can judge others.
Adopting is a great thing, but millions of women would love to have babies even if it meant gaining a lot of weight. It's so worth it. Nothing can replace the joy of having a child. Not even gaining some extra pounds. I think she's setting a bad example by making some women afraid to even get pregnant. Not impressive. Sounds very self absorbed no matter how many people she's helped.

it's her decission but what she said may hurt women in the same issues or famous that want to have children but have a history of losses/infertility or ones that did in the past but successfully had children and eventually got their bodies back even if it took a long time like for example academy award winner Sophia Loren who miscarried twice before the births of her two beautiful boys and still got her body back quickly after each or Joanne Woodward who after 1 miscarriage and three daughters got her body back quite well though it took seven years after the birth of her youngest daughter Claire to do so and received three of her four Oscar nominations after the births of her daughters and still appears on TV & stage sporatically now at age 80 so Jillian should keep her mouth shut

OMG! Can you even imagine this woman as a mother?(a whiny...oh, I wouldn't put my body through that...) I would feel sorry for any child...or as Jillian puts it..."something she rescues" to be adopted by her.

This woman is a narcissist. Adoption is a wonderful thing, but saying you don't want to mess up your body with a pregnancy is one of the most self centered things a mother can say. It is also a cultural control issue. So I would indeed scrutinize her mental ability to be a mother, in this day of girls already being over obsessed with their body. Then a mother whose sole reason not to have kids is so it wouldn't ruin her waistline. Well, I'm a mom of four and her height. I have a waistline and yes I look pretty good, not like a teenager, but good. My goal is a sophia loren type of aging. She had kids and lived a full life and still looks good for any age.

She is probably creating yet another eating disorder for women. She should be ashamed.

This sends an absolutely bad message, Gillian, and I thought you were all about sending the right message. You need someone in your face like you do to the contestants, screaming, "What's wrong with you??!! What are the deeper issues here? Get in touch with the reasons you are like you are. Ruin your body??!! Gillian, are you serious??!! I can't think of a more selfish, unloving, unnatural response to having children. I am appalled and will never feel the same way about you, Gillian.

You know, I don't mind that she says she wants to adopt. That's admirable, because there are so many children in this world who need a good home. However, what bothers me is the quote that she can't handle doing that to her body. What?!? That's so incredibly shallow. If she had just said she wants to adopt, that would not be an issue, but to be concerned over what pregnancy does to your figure? That's ridiculous.

If she truly feels this way then she should definitely not have children. NOR should she adopt. People like this don't really need children. Rescueing something makes it a part of yourself? And she doesn't think having a child is worth the weight gain? Sicko woman.

She does not want to ruin her figure. Wow, what an example of normal. Why do normal people watch these reality shows with jokes like her on it. She sends such a remarkable message and it is not good.

She doesnt want to get preganant - because shes probably
a CLOSET lesbian!

It's not a closet lesbian if it tells that she likes both genders in the article...maybe you should read closer, because it clearly states that she likes both male and female. Which would make her bi and not a closet anything!
Rescue? OMG... this woman shouldn't be allowed to adopt if she thinks she's "rescuing" a child. As a birthmother I find it TOTALLY insulting her saying this.
I wouldn't let her rescue an animal, let alone ADOPT.

I'm quite shocked at her reasoning, but she has a right to her opinion and adoption is good for everyone.....there are no losers in the adoption scenario, everybody wins. Good luck, Jillian.

She is obviously worried that she wouldn't be able to get back in shape after having a child. How are overweight people supposed to believe her now when she tells them they can do it?

Why are you all so concerned with whether this woman wants to get pregnant or not? It's HER BODY. If she wants to get pregnant, that is her decision. Contrary to popular belief, not all women want to have babies. They are just too afraid to admit it due to people like those on this message board that will slaughter them for making this decision about their own life. You all make it seem like a woman's sole purpose in life is having children. Grow up and respect other people's life choices.

Ummm... she didn't say she doesn't want to have children, she said she doesn't want to 'ruin' her body-- so she will adopt. Huge difference. And if the only reason she wont have children is because of her body image, than yeah, she's messed up. In my humble opinion, people who 'don't want kids' are notoriously selfish, but hey, that's just my experience.
what a joke, oh i forgot she dates women also, probably more than men, she's just letting everyone know she's gay in a polite way! it has nothing to do with losing weight, its all to do with no penis!
