Justin Bieber Concert Canceled After Fans Trampled
By PopEater Staff Posted Apr 26th 2010 10:29AM
Pop sensation Justin Bieber was forced to cancel his massive, outdoor performance in front of the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay in Sydney, Australia, when several young fans were trampled after at least ten girls fainted. Over 5,000 people camped out overnight for the performance, but police were forced to cancel the outdoor show after paramedics had to break the barriers and rescue the young girls from being crushed by the massive crowd, New Zealand Herald reports.

Police later said all of the girls were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Bieber was meant to sing three songs at a free gig for the 'Sunrise' morning program; however, "mass scenes of hysteria" erupted outside the studio. "I am just as disappointed as everyone else with the news from this morning. I want to sing for my fans," Bieber tweeted.
"I'm so sorry it got out of control. We want what's best for the fans and don't want anybody to get hurt," Bieber added during the 'Sunrise' show. Watch the live footage:
This incident is not the first time Bieber has caused riots. In November, a crowd of nearly 3,000 screaming kids and parents at a Long Island, New York, mall started to get rowdy. Five people were taken to hospitals with minor injuries and police arrested Bieber's manager.
At the time, police asked Bieber's manager, Scott "Scooter" Braun, to alert fans via Twitter that the event was going to have to be canceled, but prosecutors say it took Braun an hour and a half to send two tweets. Ultimately, it lead to charges being filed against Braun. His lawyer asserts it took just seven minutes to get the word out. [Asking yourself, "Who the heck is Justin Bieber?" Yound girls don't have much taste in music to begin with. This kid will fall eventually and all he'll have left is a bad lesbian-like hairdo.

Such a child...somewhere between boy and girl. Probably doesn't even have hair on his cookie yet lol
Reply
I've seen him perform on TV and he has no stage presence, does not interview well (speaks like a chimp) and can't sing worth a damn. His songs cater to 9-10 year old girls... enuff said.

LOL! He probably does not know what a cookie is?

It's not his fault people trampled each other! People need to be in control of themselves. It's not nice to say "he should get trampled". He's only 16.

It's not his fault that people can't ever seem to control themselves anymore. They probably weren't all kids in that crowd either.

ROFL, well if you think this poor kid is hot and talented, I'd say you're the one who doesn't know anything. And fashion? You mean lack of? LOL How old are you anyway, 10?
I am dismayed that the police have the power to cancel events. There is a wrod for that and it's CENSORSHIP.
Sure, a few people are going to get "rowdy." Sure, there are safety issues. There should be people on hand to keep order and tend to any injured.
But to *cancel?* Have they no clue what a disappointment this would be to kids? I remember going to Beatles, Beach Boys and Stones concerts in the '60's. Establishment types were dying to cancel these events. Fortunately I never had to be disappointed in that manner, but it would have been crushing.
They need to think twice, make that ten times, before cancelling an event like this, and disappointing so many innocent people.
