Test Results Show Bret Michaels Suffered a 'Setback'

More bad news for Bret Michaels. Test results indicate he's suffering from a side effect from his brain hemorrhage which could lead to seizures.

The latest test results were posted on Michaels' Facebook page which reps have used to keep fans informed of his progress.

The April 27 update stated that doctors believe the latest test results were a "minor setback."

"Even though today was a minor setback," the statement read. "Doctors remain hopeful for a full recovery and plan to release more specific information next Monday."

Michaels remains under 24-hour observation in the intensive care unit of an undisclosed hospital and is in "positive spirits," according to the update. "He is responding well to tests and treatments."

The update also gave painful details of the type of hemorrhage the 'Celebrity Apprentice' star suffered -- "a type of stroke that causes bleeding in the fluid-filled spaces around the base of the brain."

"It presents itself suddenly as the sound of a loud gunshot or thunderclap at the back of the head causing severe cranial pain and muscle spasms."

The state added: "Doctors state Michaels is very lucky as his condition could have been fatal."
