How can we help Olivia?, I used to like the circus, but now I just have to make an effort no to cry when I see one in town. But what can we do? is a business of sick, insensitive people who don't feel a thing seeing an animal suffering. Not going is a step but is there a possibility of any legal action? I would like to know.

You know what I find funny about PETA and its naked supporters is that they've been doing this 'I rather go naked' thing for years and yet it DOESN'T WORK!
How is showing their naked body is going to help any animals. Seriously? Is it one of those do a good deed an angel grow its wings type crap.
Posing naked doesn't do anything but give guys a hard on while eating a meaty sandwich. So if thats their goal they are head on, if not I think its time to do some ACTUAL work if they want to get their lame point across.

I do think that PETA goes to extremes, but they DO have a point. I would love to go to a circus where the animals ARE TREATED HUMANELY,( NOT being beaten or shocked) to perform. It is possible, if they would hire TRAINERS that have PATIENCE and know how to train the animals properly, instead of acting like CAVEMEN!

I never said I had to go to the circus. I agree with you! WHY ARE YOU JUMPING ON ME???? If I had my way, meat would be poisonous to humans and we would have to eat only veggies and dairy products. And we all be much better off for it! So get over yourself!

TRAINING ANIMALS, whether to jump through hoops, run around in circles, or do anything else in a tent in front of hundreds of cheering humans is UNNATURAL for animals. Do you really think they enjoy the loud noises, music and crowds cheering? I know the truth hurts to realize that what is enjoyable to humans IS PAINFUL TO ANIMALS, but you and your ideals are going to have to get over YOURSELF.
And NO, I won't "get over" myself if it means being unable to correctly read and interpret what you've written, which I have not.

Who is this Dan Hopper who is quoted as saying that elephants get slaughtered by lions? Better do your research, boy, and quit blowing smoke out of your a*s. Very young elephants may in very rare instances get taken down by lions. If they are unfortunate enough to get seperated from the herd that can happen, but that's a rare instance.
