Jesse James Reacts to Divorce, Bullock's Adoption

Sandra Bullock dropped a bombshell when she revealed to PEOPLE that in January she adopted a boy from New Orleans and is divorcing husband Jesse James. Now, Jesse James is finally opening up about the news, telling PEOPLE he has a "huge hole" in his heart.

"My whole life has been full of hard decisions. The decision to let my wife end our marriage, and continue the adoption of Louis on her own, has been the hardest. The love I have for Louis cannot be put to words. Not having him around to love and to hold has left a huge hole in my heart," James said.

She and James began the adoption process four years ago, before becoming parents earlier this year. The couple decided to keep the news to themselves until after the Oscars.

Bullock was on top of the world when she won her first Oscar for her role in 'The Blind Side.' But just eight days after her victory, Michelle "Bombshell" McGee revealed she had been having an affair with James. Eventually, several more women stepped forward. Rumors suggested that at least seven women were involved with Jesse during his marriage

"I ask that you please do not judge Sandy for the things I have done. She has done no wrong. She played no part in any of this. She has been an amazing wife, mother and best friend for the over 6 years we have been together," he said.

According to HollywoodLife.com, James relinquished his rights as a parent to Louis in the divorce papers, allowing Sandra full custody in what experts call an unusual move.

Bullock says she is now adopting as a single parent and is divorcing her husband. "Yes, I have filed for divorce," she told the magazine, adding that she is "sad and scared" about it. This is only the second time Bullock has spoken out in the aftermath of her husband's sex scandal, which broke in mid-March.

The West Coast Choppers mogul publicly apologized to Bullock and his three kids and recently returned home after a 30-day stay in a treatment facility, where he sought help for "personal issues."

"I know in my heart that I can be the best father possible to my four children, and the mate Sandy deserves, and realize that this is an incredible mountain to climb. But I believe that the steps I have taken in the last 30 days are the foundation for making this happen. The lifelong commitment I am making is what being a real husband and father is all about," James added.

I love Sandra Bullock, however one of the things that makes Sandra a strong woman is that she has money and does not have to depend on a man to validate her or take care of her. Please teach you daughters to make a living for themselves before marriage so they do not feel they have to stay with a man/spouse for their survival and the survival of their children.

There is no rock, OK boulder, big enough for Jesse to crawl under (and stay). Her award and adoption should have been the highlight of her life; but now it’s overshadowed by Jesse’s infidelity. How “bitter – sweet.” Is his show still on the air? If it is, hope its viewer boycotted and the ratings tank.

Though I am not a fan of Jesse, especially now, I think he meant that he didn't try to change her mind when she decided to file for divorce and continue the adoption without her. I think this is what he meant when he said 'let' her.

As we all know, opposites attract and that is certainly the case here. Unfortunately, Jesse may have been too much of an opposite for Sandra Bullock. It is unfortunate that he decided to go the wrong direction but it takes a very strong person to decide that this cannot be repaired and divorce is the only option. I hope Jesse will continue to receive the help he obviously needs, and shows his children what a good father and husband can be.

I must say it was really nice of Jesse to let Sandra end their marriage. What a nice guy. Right! And who would judge Sandra? She's the victim of the mess him and those women with no morals, have created. Maybe he should have thought about her before he made a mess of her life. I would personally like to thank Sandra for immediately putting an end to the marriage once she found out what a jerk he was. I have always known Sandra seemed like a strong woman. She has the highest respect of the public. It always makes me sick to see the wives that stand by their cheating husbands. Good luck to Sandra and her adorable new son! She is quite a lady and he is lucky to have her in his life and she is lucky to have him. Let's hope that she allows little contact with someone like Jesse, who has little to no morals.

Yea...ask my brother who has cheated on every wife (5) and girlfriend he has had in his adult life and still continues to do it not caring who he hurts or what lives he shatters. That is really not correct. Many people called Sandy a jerk and that she knew what she was getting into when she married Jesse and "What did she expect, his second wife was a porn star!". They were calling Sandy all kinds of nasty names. One would constantly call her a German skank Nazi lover and that she was into everything Jesse was. He could wait until all the dirt about Sandra was printed. So, I do believe that Jesse was trying to say that Sandy was in no way any of the names she was called.
