This year's Time 100 brings an array of artists, leaders, heroes and thinkers who are considered the 100 most influential people in the world -- as assembled by Time Magazine. So whose ideas, innovations and actions are shaping our world? Lady Gaga, Sarah Palin and Taylor Swift -- just to name a few.
While there's no denying Gaga's impact on our culture, the cover speaks for itself, with the pop songstress standing next to former President Bill Clinton and professional footballer Didier Drogba. Other notables making the list: President Barack Obama, 'Twilight' star Robert Pattinson and 'Glee' actress Lea Michele.
Inside the issue, Grammy Award-winning pop singer Cyndi Lauper admits, "I first heard the name Lady Gaga through a mutual friend. He couldn't stop talking about her. Then I heard her music, and I thought, 'Wow, I love this kid.'"
Lady Gaga's career has skyrocketed over the past year with hits like 'PokerFace' and 'Bad Romance.' But it wasn't just her singing that got people talking. Her outrageous stage performances and wardrobe kept people guessing, and it quickly became obvious that she wasn't just a one-hit wonder.
"When I see somebody like Gaga, I sit back in admiration. I'm inspired to pick up the torch again myself. I did an interview with her once, and she showed up with a sculpture on her head. I thought, 'How awesome.' Being around her, I felt like the dust was shaken off of me. I find it very comforting to sit next to somebody and not have to worry that I look like the freak. She isn't a pop act, she is a performance artist. She herself is the art. She is the sculpture," Lauper adds.
Also in the issue, George Lopez weighs in on late-night host Conan O'Brien. "Conan's tenacity and wit have been an inspiration to me on my own late-night show. I'm happy and proud that we'll be playing on the same team when he comes to basic cable. Welcome back to TV, Conan. I've got a good feeling about this. If there's anything people love more than a happy ending, it's a big comeback," Lopez says.
Other notable Hollywood celebrities on this year's list include Oprah Winfrey, 'Hurt Locker' director Kathryn Bigelow, actor Ashton Kutcher and pop singer Taylor Swift. The full list can be found on Time.com.
Inside the magazine, celebrities weigh in on the Top 100 list. Here's what they're saying:
Sigourney Weaver on James Cameron: "It would be comforting to think of Jim, 55, as superhuman. But the truth is -- although he has extraordinary abilities, appetite and drive -- Jim simply does not recognize human limitations in himself or anyone else."
Phil Donahue on Oprah Winfrey: "There is no match for you in media history. You are not only hot; you are cool: the Dream Girl for millions of ambitious young women whom you've inspired all over the world. You are a once-in-a-century woman. I salute you."
Sean 'Diddy' Combs on Ashton Kutcher: "Most of us want to make as much money as we can, but Ashton, 32, is out to make the world a better place ... This guy will show us the future. And it's gonna be a blast."
Stevie Nicks on Taylor Swift: "Taylor reminds me of myself in her determination and her childlike nature. It's an innocence that's so special and so rare. This girl writes the songs that make the whole world sing, like Neil Diamond or Elton John."
Olivia Newton-John on Lea Michele: "It must be so exciting to be Lea. To be in a wonderfully entertaining musical, playing a character whom millions of people around the world adore and whom young girls emulate -- tell me about it!"

Sarah Palin Gov. of Alaska, sold almost 3 million books, attracts thousands to her rallies, did not abort her special needs son like a lib would do. I'd say she is influential and laughing all the way to the bank thanks to the biased media. lol
Sarah Palin got herself blessed against witchcraft. She was pregnant when she got married, which makes her a hypocrite with all her blabber about christian values. She enjoys shooting defenseless animals from a chopper and watching them bleed to death. She quit as governor of Alaska because she couldn't take the heat of 21 open allegations against her. Her IQ is listed on some websites as 83. It's amazing what some people are drawn to. Doesn't say much for the mentality of this nation. Fortunately her worshippers are in the minority.
to lldez: Where did you get these so called facts?Where did you read that she was pregnant and blessed against witchcraft? What are you drinkin? "She ENJOYS killing defenseless animals from a copter and watching them bleed. What are you 12 years old? There is little beef in Alaska. Carabou and moose are the only meat source there. The packs of wolves have to be shed or they will kill the only source of meat for Alaskans. Treat your brain to the other side of the story it will be a refreshing experience for you.
Don't you watch any credible TV news? Oh that's right, you probably watch FOX news. lol There are videos of her getting blessed against witchcraft. They've been around since BEFORE Obama was elected president. Very easy to check all these FACTS I mentioned if you weren't too lazy and didn't have that tunnel vision. If anyone needs to treat their brain to the other side of the story it's YOU. Oh that's right, you'd need a brain for that. It's something you Palin worshippers don't have.
I have to laugh at all the cranky old baby boomers who think that Lady Ga Ga is a bad influence. What about YOUR generation...musicians were a total mess in the 50's, 60's, and 70's. You're just JEALOUS of successful people like Ga Ga and Madonna, etc.! As far as I know Lady Ga Ga is simply a talented performer who has made something of herself and YOU are just an old piece of STINK riding around in your Scooter pining for the days of oversized gas guzzling cars and drive-movies. Boooo Hoooo Cry me a river...
SOS. Sick of Sarah. I am sick of seeing her spread all over the media as if she had anything to offer except self glorification. Nominated by Ted Nugent (now there's an authority) and in turn nominating the infantile Glen Beck, she represents a vicious circle of lies and misinformation coupled with an outrageous call for uncivil action. Her adolescent self-absorption is not news-worthy in my opinion. Cancel my subscription.
