Charlie SheenCharlie Sheen's lawyers are hammering out a plea bargain for the 'Two and a Half Men' star for the charges stemming from the Christmas incident where he allegedly attacked his wife, Brooke Mueller, TMZ.com reports.

Sheen has been charged with felony menacing and misdemeanor assault, but the actor is hoping to cop to a misdemeanor.

His lawyers are also hoping to close the deal before May 19, which is the day CBS will announce their fall schedule. It is looking increasingly likely that Charlie will return to 'Men,' despite reports he wanted out and the difficulties of signing him to a new contract.
