Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller Trying to 'Work Things Out'

Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller are still giving their marriage a chance.

The troubled couple sent out a joint statement, giving romantics a reason to believe in their tabloid-tattered union. Apparently there are no divorce proceedings underway.

"Please let us clarify this: They are not seeking a divorce nor has one been contemplated," the statement released to People.com said. The statement came from Mueller's attorney and Sheen's longtime friend, 'Two and Half Men' executive producer Mark Burg.

Mueller's attorney Yale Galanter further told the Web site, "This is a difficult time and they need space to see if they can work things out or not."

The couple continues to live apart.

The two have been on the rocky romantic road since a Christmas incident in Aspen, Colorado, when Sheen allegedly threatened his wife and was arrested on domestic violence charges.

Charlie needs to wake up and dump this drama queen. He can do so much better than her, look at the mess she`s gotten him into. Drop her Charlie and drop her quick.

Excuse me, but, in defense of Brooke, I suggest you might have been living in a cave for at least a decade to be oblivious to Sheen's past. Drug abuse, drinking, etc. has run rampant through his life. Sheen is perfectly capable of screwing up his life, whether w. Brooke or w/o her.

I still think there is plenty to question regarding her account of what happened. It sounds like both parties realize they made mistakes. So I give it a 70% to 30% real possibility they'll work it out.

I feel charlie and cast does a great job we watch all his reruns as far as his abuse he needs to work it out maybe his father can help him again. as far as his show well its just great.

Unfortunately the ONLY thing that really matters in Charlie's life
now is whether he can cop a plea deal so he doesn't end up behind bars. That is what's holding up the whole "Two and a Half Men" fiasco. If he ends up in jail, the show is off. Plain and simple.
