Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller Trying to 'Work Things Out'

Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller are still giving their marriage a chance.

The troubled couple sent out a joint statement, giving romantics a reason to believe in their tabloid-tattered union. Apparently there are no divorce proceedings underway.

"Please let us clarify this: They are not seeking a divorce nor has one been contemplated," the statement released to People.com said. The statement came from Mueller's attorney and Sheen's longtime friend, 'Two and Half Men' executive producer Mark Burg.

Mueller's attorney Yale Galanter further told the Web site, "This is a difficult time and they need space to see if they can work things out or not."

The couple continues to live apart.

The two have been on the rocky romantic road since a Christmas incident in Aspen, Colorado, when Sheen allegedly threatened his wife and was arrested on domestic violence charges.

Wow. And just a year or so ago, everyone was making Denise out to be a villain, and Brooke was happy to cut her up right along with the mainstream press. How's it feel, Brooke? Think maybe you need to apologize for calling Denise a liar and trying to paint Charlie Boy as such an upstanding pillar or marriage and society? Sorry, my heart can't go out to Brooke. She got what she deserves. Charlie has a hideous, simply hideous, background and she plunged right on ahead, with her golden shovel to lead the way (gold digger). All that glitters isn't gold, now is it sweetie?

Charlie, Charlie, Charlie. You're over 40 now dude, you need to chill. And Ms. Mueller, WHAT are you after? A man like Charlie Sheen doesn't blow a rivet for no reason, he has a great career and children, why would he jeopardize that? She's up to something and I think he's the one wanting to reconcile, kudos to you my man. Don't think it's gonna happen though.

I don't understand what any woman would see in Charlie Sheen! He is a drunken womanizer and dreadfully unattractive. It can only be his money because it doesn't seem he is a very good person either! Oh well, if a woman is dumb enough to marry him, she deserves what she gets, which seems to be nothing worth having!!!!!
