With the release of her sophomore album, 'Breakthrough,' singer-songwriter Colbie Caillat set out to write the story of a roller coaster relationship. Caillat's latest single, 'I Never Told You,' delves into the regret that comes after a breakup. In an exclusive on-the-set clip from the song's video shoot, Caillat talks about what exactly inspired the tune, while director Roman White explains the video's concept."I wrote 'I Never Told You' half in a hotel bathroom in Europe while I was on tour and the other half on the island of Kauai, Hawaii, with Jason Reeves and Kara DioGuardi on a writing vacation," Caillat tells PopEater. "It's one of my favorite songs to sing on 'Breakthrough.'"

I love Colbie, Kara, and Jason. I thought the behind the scenes video was really interesting because I didn't know the song was inspired by a breakup!
