Naomi Campbell Insists Her Men Don't Have to Be Rich (Really!)

Supermodel Naomi Campbell insists she's no gold digger, despite the impressive portfolios of her suitors, including current boyfriend and Russian real estate magnate Vladimir Doronin.

"I can buy what I want," Campbell said on the 'Oprah Winfrey Show' on Monday. After twenty-five years in the modeling industry, she clearly can buy her own Christian Louboutins -- thank you very much!

However, after rattling off former paramours like Robert De Niro and Usher, Oprah pressed the supermodel, asking her point blank if she had ever dated someone who was not well-off.

"Yeah, a working class man," Campbell said. Oprah laughed at the answer, asking her what year that romance supposedly occurred.

"A man in the arts, I have dated someone [poor]," Campbell added in response.

After her current billionaire beau was pointed out sitting in the audience, Campbell defended her choice in men.

"I like men that are strong. I like the men to wear the pants," she explained. "I like strong men that know what they want, know what they are doing, that tell me what to do."

"I cannot tell Vlad what to do," she added.

Ok. I like Russian men myself. They are tough not racist like most other european men (English, american, french, german). Italian men are cool, too.

Oh, so she isn't an abusive twit? Why do I keep reading about her beating someone up? Please, grow up, if she puts herself out there and acts like an animal (which she does) I am allowed to hate her if I want. Stop being such a goody-two-shoes.

What's the problem? There's absolutely nothing wrong with dating men who possess abundant resources. As far as I know, Naomi Campbell is not interfering with anyone's marriage nor is she habitually having children out of wedlock in order to trap men into supporting her in a manner that she can't afford herself. Despite her somewhat volatile temperament, she's still actively supporting herself as "genuine" high fashion model. There's no doubt about it! This sistah has and will continue to make it on her own, if need be! Quite frankly, I would gladly have "the crumbs off her table". LET'S GET REAL!!!

I saw the show and more irritating than Naomi Campbell's arrogance and ignorance was Oprah's preaching to her in the way of the guru. As much as I do not like Naomi, I wanted to tell her to take out her phone and chuck it at Oprah!

No her men don't need to be rich, just stupid. They use her, for eye candy, has she ever had a decent long term relationship. I would definitely say she suffers with some form of mental illness. Once she admits it and gets help, get on some meds, she would probably be a decent human being like the rest of us plain folk.

This woman is old enough to have learned better manners. She simply chooses not to use any. She has had many chances to change, but she likes her self as is. It seems she thinks the world revolves around her. There is no excuse for bad behavior, ever. Naomi has no manners, no values, other than clothes and hair. And she obviously has no respect, for anyone but her self.
Naomi is no role model for anyone, my dog has better manners than she does. Any adult who thinks its alright to hit, and throw things at others. Someone needs to throw something at her, and dont miss. I have absolutly no respect, for anyone who acts as she does. She seems to get by living like a street thug.
