Naomi Campbell Insists Her Men Don't Have to Be Rich (Really!)

Supermodel Naomi Campbell insists she's no gold digger, despite the impressive portfolios of her suitors, including current boyfriend and Russian real estate magnate Vladimir Doronin.

"I can buy what I want," Campbell said on the 'Oprah Winfrey Show' on Monday. After twenty-five years in the modeling industry, she clearly can buy her own Christian Louboutins -- thank you very much!

However, after rattling off former paramours like Robert De Niro and Usher, Oprah pressed the supermodel, asking her point blank if she had ever dated someone who was not well-off.

"Yeah, a working class man," Campbell said. Oprah laughed at the answer, asking her what year that romance supposedly occurred.

"A man in the arts, I have dated someone [poor]," Campbell added in response.

After her current billionaire beau was pointed out sitting in the audience, Campbell defended her choice in men.

"I like men that are strong. I like the men to wear the pants," she explained. "I like strong men that know what they want, know what they are doing, that tell me what to do."

"I cannot tell Vlad what to do," she added.
