George Lopez Says Sandra Bullock 'Could Not Be Happier'

Despite ongoing marital woes, George Lopez claims that pal Sandra Bullock "could not be happier."

Lopez spoke to PEOPLE yesterday about Bullock's newly adopted son, Louis Bardo Bullock, saying, "I am a proud uncle and [my wife] Ann is a proud aunt. Sandra is a loving, giving person, and Louis could not be in a better home and she could not be happier."

Meanwhile, Lopez told Extra that he had known about the adoption for a few months.

"I love that she was able to do it privately and really take care of Louis, which is first and foremost," he said.

Bullock was an executive producer on Lopez's ABC sitcom, 'George Lopez.'

Last week, Bullock shocked everyone by revealing that she and husband Jesse James had adopted a newborn son from New Orleans in January. The couple decided to keep the adoption a secret until after the Oscars were over.

"I did not want him brought into a world that would not have been too sincere to him as I wanted. I wanted to be alone with him as long as I could then we had to tell his story," she told PEOPLE in an exclusive cover story.

Bullock also confirmed that she is filing for divorce following James' extra-marital affairs.

In the meantime, Bullock and James are now selling their beachfront home in California for just under $6 million.

Sandra seems to be one of the rare down to earth people. She seems to have her priorities straight. To bad she fell for a scheming, lying dog. Been there done that..best to her and her child.

Who said you have to have a man to be happy? That baby will give her more unconditional love than any man ever will. My husband and I divorced after I had a little girl and I loved her so much that I hardly missed him. I loved every moment of being with her which is something I can't say for him.

Jessie is a cool dude that made a mistake ,like many of us men.Im sure he regrets it now. Ive done the same thing once or twice myself.Im no jessie james women dont chase me, but certain situations occured that i made bad decisions on. If I did it again she would kill me or make me wish I were dead Im sure.Long story short he's just a man she's just a woman. The spot light dos'nt help.

If you're going to cheat, why get married? You make it sound like it's no big deal when you cheat. It IS a big deal. You broke your marriage vows and decimated any trust in you. If you were my husband, I'd take you for everything you have. I've been married for 38 years and neither of us have ever been unfaithful. I will never understand your attitude.

I get that he is trying to say she is very happy with her baby. However, I feel the statement "she couldn't be happier" is false and minimizes her situation. I am sure she could be much happier, if she and Jesse were sharing this joy together, and he hadn't broken her heart.
