Conan O'Brien showed the world what's been going through his mind (and beard) since his ouster from 'The Tonight Show' and NBC during his '60 Minutes' interview this past week. Everyone wants a piece of the red-headed comic now that his speaking embargo is up, but CoCo isn't in the mood to keep on talking -- even if it's with Oprah Winfrey or Jay Leno's nemesis, David Letterman. And judging from what people are telling me, that's a good move.Conan O'Brien Says No to Oprah and Letterman

And judging from what people are telling me, that's a good move.Conan Says No to Oprah, Letterman
Over 13 million viewers tuned in to watch Conan O'Brien tell '60 Minutes' that NBC "broke his heart," however, TV insiders tell me that Conan now needs to shut up and focus on his future if he doesn't always want to be known as the guy that hosted 'The Tonight Show' for a few months.
"Conan doing one big sit down interview was a good idea -- only if he never talks about 'The Tonight Show' again," one TV insiders tells me. "Conan came across well, but if he doesn't shut up, it's going to seem as if he's whining. The best thing he could do is focus on his new show. Look forward instead of looking back. After all, it's hard to feel sorry for a guy who got paid over $30 million to NOT work."
Conan seems to be taking this advice to heart. Sources tell me he has been offered many more interviews -- with Larry King, Oprah and even David Letterman -- all of which he has turned down.
Hopefully, the next time we hear from Conan, he will be doing his monologue on TBS! (And no 'Tonight' jokes. You are better than that.)
Halle's Custody Battle
Someone who knows how to keep her mouth shut is Halle Berry. Following her split from model Gabriel Aubry, with whom Halle has a 2-year-old daughter, the actress has remained silent.
However, behind the scenes, I hear the couple, who had been together for four years, are in non-stop negotiations over daughter Nahla.
"Gabriel is determined to be part of his daughter's life. He loves Nahla a great deal, and even though he has split with Halle, he has no intention of letting Nahla go," a friend of the model tells me. "It's still early and they are both behaving like great parents, but if things do turn nasty, Halle can expect a fight."
Let's hope things keep moving forward. Make little Nahla proud.
'SATC' vs. Michael Douglas
Michael Douglas is getting ready to go head-to-head with Sarah Jessica Parker and the ladies of 'Sex and The City 2' on May 24 when they both roll out their red carpets on the same night in New York City.
"Foolishly, the Lincoln Center Film Society has planned a tribute to Michael Douglas on the same night as the 'Sex and The City 2' premiere in New York," laughed one event planner.
"It's a total disaster and Michael's event cannot be moved. I hope Michael is planning on having a very small red carpet, because, let's face it, all the press are going to be with the 'Sex' girls."
Michael, we love you, but this is not a fair fight. I just hope Catherine goes with you instead of going to see the movie!

Conan is whining - IF he shuts up it will be a relief. He did to Lopez what he said he wouldn't do 'cause that's who he is...bet me!

Believe it or not there are people who like Oprah - even if she doesn't fit into your view of perfect just cause she's not a size 2.
Shallow much?

Make it look like he'd whining???? All Conan did was whine from day one. He said he wouldn't do the same thing to Leno...But he doesn't mind doing it to George Lopez. I hope Lopez' fans scream loud and clear.

Why would George's fans scream? George was the one who convinced Conan to take the slot - he refused it until George called and persuaded him.
Any George Lopez fans who are screaming about this are clearly not listening to what George himself has gone on record to say.
The people posting about this are hilarious. Conan got screwed over while at NBC, he then looks for a new job at another network, get's a timeslot, and now George Lopez get's screwed over? Last time I looked, they both have jobs. George's show may air later than it does now, but be real. It's not like he's working at midnight every night, filming. Conan got a nice severance package from NBC. Because of that, he's not allowed to look for work? Idiots, they're all rich talking heads, who get paid ridiculous amounts of money to tell stale jokes to camera's, and 'captive' audiences. The cycle continues. Remember? David Letterman was promised the Tonight Show for years, then Jay was selected, and NBC paid Dave to leave. Nothing new.

Good for Conan! Now I truly admire him!!!

Since Oprah is going tabloid with her show lately, I don't blame him one bit for turning her down for an interview.
If Conan has been looking for sympathy he is not going to get it here. Why should anyone feel sorry for him? It's time he hushes up & quits crying. There are a multitude of people worse off than he is. Maybe it's time he thinks about that....& not just himself.
I'm a Leno fan. Never will be an O'Brien fan. His whining did it for me.

good decisions Conan.. you know what you're doing!! Always did too!
Love you Conzey..

Since Letterman has been exposed as such a phony, I no longer find him funny. He makes fun of Tiger, Bill Clinton and whomever...all the while he's up to the same crap. Just because your wife is naive enought to accept what you're doing, Dave, doesn't mean I have to follow suit.

Does no one realize that there's such a thing as a CONTRACT? He may have sold exclusive rights to the story to '60 Minutes.' Of course he'd say no to Oprah if he was under contract with someone else. Otherwise, he'd be breaking the law.
