'Bones' star David Boreanaz joined the Tiger Woods Infidelity Club this week, admitting he cheated on his wife of nine years, Jaime Bergman. Saying his extramarital adventures tainted his relationship, the actor told PEOPLE, "I just want to be open and honest. I was irresponsible." Fair game. He cheated, and that sucks, but he came clean.
Then the story took a turn for the worse when Rachel Uchitel (she of Tiger Woods' many mistresses fame), Boreanaz's alleged other woman, said he called her while his wife was in labor with their second child. "He was on the phone with Rachel, giving updates," an insider told Star magazine. "That grossed her out."
Long story short(ish), we asked our readers to top Boreanaz's purported act of despicable infidelity. We were convinced his move was as low as one could go, but now we're not so sure. After the jump, our Pop Chorus presents shady tales of vomiting on jilted lovers, in-laws in the sack and brazenly double-dipping in the workplace.
Eddie says:
My wife's office called to tell me she'd fallen down a flight of stairs and broken her leg. Her co-worker asked if I would run home to pick up a few things for my wife. Being the good husband I was, I went to grab her iPod and some magazines so she could have something to do while sitting in the waiting room. I got home and noticed the back door was open, revealing my very attractive 48-year-old mother-in-law tanning topless on the deck. Shocked to see my wife's mom topless, I slammed the door and ran inside.
My mother-in-law, surprised someone discovered her half-naked, made her way into the house to see who was home. We started talking about how she thought I was very handsome. We continued talking, things heated up, she started stroking my leg and pretty soon one thing led to another and ... we ended up in bed together. My wife was so fed up with waiting that she sent one of her coworkers to our house to see what was taking so long. She found me with another woman in bed. The co-worker told my wife everything -- except for the identity of the woman I was in bed with. I got to inform my wife of that final little detail.
Cathleen says:
Years ago, I tended bar in a classy restaurant in the suburbs. The place was kind of off the beaten path and the clientele included a lot of politicians, judges, lawyers and doctors. I saw enough cheating going on to make me want to hurry up and get the heck out of there, but I needed the money. You get to know some of these people fairly well (not that you want to, in many cases), but their cheating never ceased to amaze me. A few stick out in my mind -- even after all these years. One was the guy who would come in for dinner with his wife (who was beautiful), bring her home, take the babysitter home, then return to the restaurant to join his unattractive, snooty girlfriend in the bar for the rest of the evening. He was a real sleaze.
The worst instance I remember well, because they both worked at the restaurant and were so blatant about their affair they may as well have written "we're cheaters" on the bathroom wall. He ran the restaurant, she was the cocktail waitress and his wife was a hostess. The manager would send his mistress flowers, which would be delivered to the restaurant, given to the hostess (his wife), who would in turn deliver them to the other woman. I did say the restaurant was classy -- I didn't say the people were.
Joe says:
After a night of heavy drinking, I woke up naked in my bed with my girlfriend, Tammy, standing over me. Normally, that wouldn't have been out of the ordinary, but I'd gone to bed the night before with a colleague, Jessica, who Tammy and I both worked with. Tammy had been trying to reach me all night and finally got through early in the morning -- only it was Jessica who answered, because I was still passed out. Jess told Tammy everything, and an enraged Tammy drove straight over to confront me.
Before I could even comprehend the situation, I had both girls standing in front of the bed, screaming at me simultaneously. Jessica stormed out, while Tammy continued on. As if the situation wasn't bad enough, there was a stain right in the middle of the sheets from last night's activities, driving home the point that I was a complete scumbag.
To my bewilderment, Tammy somehow wasn't convinced I wasn't the right guy for her. Instead of dumping me like the bum I was, she asked, "So what do we do now?" I'm not sure if it was the question or the hangover, but I threw up all over her. When I collected myself, I politely apologized for everything I'd done and told her we needed to break up so I could get myself together. She left in tears; we never got back together. And the following Monday at work? Not one of my better days.
Rory says: In my mind, our life was perfect. We had a beautiful house in Central California close to family, jobs we loved with long vacation leaves and a decent marriage. Then my husband confessed his hopes of moving to Australia to run a dive shop. Being a good wife, I told him I would do whatever it took to make his dream come true. Over the next several months, I got certified as a SCUBA instructor, sold our house and our furniture, traveled to Australia to scout potential dive shops and began the proceedings to emigrate to The Land Down Under. I also gave my two weeks notice at work. I thought it was strange my husband hadn't informed his job he'd be leaving, but figured he was waiting for the right time.
When his cell rang one Saturday morning, I assumed it was a work emergency. Since he was outside, I went ahead and answered. I heard the young woman on the other end and knew without a doubt it wasn't work-related. I asked who was calling and went to get my husband. When I told him who was on the phone, his face lit with joy. I confronted him after their brief conversation; he completely denied everything. I kept pushing and eventually he told me they'd been dating for three months -- the exact amount of time I had been working toward changing my life completely to follow his dream. Luckily, I found out in time to reapply for my job, although my house and my marriage were gone.

politicans, hollywood stars, and anyone eles in the spotlight... why do we have double standards for these people? they are after all people...and as far as i know there has never been a perfect person before. we all have skeletons in our closets. personnaly, i'd like to see more people concentrate on what is important than whos sleeping with who. yes, i'd like to see an honest politicain etc. but this is not a perfect world. if it were...we wouldn't have anything to gossip about.would we...
Just remember, folks--once this (AHEM) scandal blows over, another one will take its place--and then another, and then another, and then another...it's getting boring.
Rory's story is a good example of what not to do for your husband. What she should have said was, "A Dive Shop! In Australia!!! Are you nuts or what?!!!!! God. What an idiot."
Why are we so interested in celebrities personal lives? They are human beings like the rest of us. They just live luxurious and make more money then the average joe. I love celebrities, but I hate hearing about things that are none of our business. How often do you hear about the woman in hollywood and their infidelities? It's not just men, it's woman too.
Tera, I'm glad you pointed that out. People are so quick to judge men in these situations that they forget it's a joint effort. Most people probably didn't even question the availability of the same mistress to both Tiger and David. They didn't just dream her up, she played an active role. And who knows who she's sleeping with now? I don't claim to know, but my bet is on rich and famous. Oh, and married.
I figure we focus on this crap because the media doesn't report positive behavior as often as scandal, so we just lap it up. I'm bored with it now anyway. Send us some good news....please..
