Barbara Walters Forced Elisabeth Hasselbeck's Apology?
Sources tell me that a genuinely remorseful Elisabeth Hasselback may have been told by 'The View' matriarch Barbara Walters that an apology was needed for her nasty comments towards Erin Andrews. And, like all smart mama bears, Barbara knew that an apology on 'The View' would be a ratings gold mine. In addition, in these tough times, Elisabeth has reached out to a pal in her time of need, and you won't believe who it is: Sarah Palin.
"Elizabeth and Sarah have remained close friends after the election," an insider tells me. "Of course, she has reached out to her friends. She needs all the support she can get right now. It's during the bad times that you get to know who your real friends are."
Elizabeth publicly apologized after her remarks on 'The View,' in which she said Andrew's convicted stalker could have avoided prison and seen almost as much by watching Erin on 'Dancing with the Stars.' However, sources tell me the apology was more Barbara Walters' idea than Elisabeth's.
"Barbara thought it would be a good idea to have Elisabeth apologize on air," said one insider. "No one is more professional than Barbara, and since the comment was made on 'The View,' the apology should also be made on 'The View.' Plus, all this drama is GREAT for ratings."
On Wednesday's 'View,' a crying Hasselbeck said that "reckless words pierce someone's heart like a sword," and apologized for what she said the day prior.

So what exactly did she say that Andrews dubbed "a slap in the face to victims of stalking and sexual predators"? Hasselbeck said: "In light of what happened and as a legal [matter] -- and as inexcusable as it was for that horrific guy to go in and try to peep on her in her hotel room ... I mean, in some way if I'm him, I'm like, 'Man! I just could've waited 12 weeks and seen this -- a little bit less -- without the prison time!'"
No word yet on what advice Elizabeth's friend Sarah had to offer, although I'm sure if Barbara has her way, we will get to hear about it very soon on, you guessed it, 'The View.'

If you watch Dancing with the Stars, you would know that the professional dancers, design the costumes. Erin had nothing to do with it. There have been many other dancers wearing much much less!
It's call entertainment! What would you like them to wear? Bathrobes?
WE SHOULD ALL BE SO LUCKY TO BE AS BEAUTIFUL, SMART, TALENTED AND BUILT LIKE ERIN. SHE ACTUALLY HAS A REAL JOB AND IT IS NOT ON THE VIEW. IN FACT, EVERYONE HAS A REAL JOB OFF THE VIEW EXCEPT FOR EH. SHE IS JUST A REPUBLICAN EXAMPLE OF WHAT IS WRONG IN THE WORLD.
I so totally agree about the costume! It seems like all the female dancers are dressed to show their skin to the very limit of and, beyond, decency.
I agree that Elli's costumes are very sexy and even called my husband in to see what she was wearing. But at times all the girls wear next to nothing. But Elli is beautiful in hers -- I wish I had that figure but I am 73 years old and those days are gone with the wind...I love DWTS and believe that they are very talented the last half of the season. I used to be curvy years ago but breast CA took care of that! But it has been since 1984 so I am pleased to be here with my younger husband. Jackie
I didn't remember her name...sorry about that. Beauty is inside and she is a beautiful dancer. I really like Elizabeth and wasn't upset when she said that. They talk over the subjects that they are going to bring up in the make up room before "The View" so it wasn't a surprise either day.

I agree that Elizabeth should get the BOOT. She acts like the most RIGHTOUS Person I have ever seen. But one of her best friens is Sarah Palen. SO need I say more.
Absolutely. I would enjoy the day EH is booted off (along with her lies and prejeduces and narrow-minded and judgmental Views). EH has a right to express her hatred. But the basement of a fundalmentalist church would be more fitting. Then, everyone she's wronged so far and more easily sue her.
When is The View going to go away? Never have to watch it because they usually make some sort of entertainment news.

I am not surprised that dumb and dumber ( former gov of Alaska,that quit her job) are buddies.

I agree Elizabeth need to begone...she adds nothing to the "View." She takes herself to seriously and don't know how to interact with the others when they're joking. Get rid of her BW.
