Barbara Walters Forced Elisabeth Hasselbeck's Apology?
Sources tell me that a genuinely remorseful Elisabeth Hasselback may have been told by 'The View' matriarch Barbara Walters that an apology was needed for her nasty comments towards Erin Andrews. And, like all smart mama bears, Barbara knew that an apology on 'The View' would be a ratings gold mine. In addition, in these tough times, Elisabeth has reached out to a pal in her time of need, and you won't believe who it is: Sarah Palin.

"Elizabeth and Sarah have remained close friends after the election," an insider tells me. "Of course, she has reached out to her friends. She needs all the support she can get right now. It's during the bad times that you get to know who your real friends are."
Elizabeth publicly apologized after her remarks on 'The View,' in which she said Andrew's convicted stalker could have avoided prison and seen almost as much by watching Erin on 'Dancing with the Stars.' However, sources tell me the apology was more Barbara Walters' idea than Elisabeth's.
"Barbara thought it would be a good idea to have Elisabeth apologize on air," said one insider. "No one is more professional than Barbara, and since the comment was made on 'The View,' the apology should also be made on 'The View.' Plus, all this drama is GREAT for ratings."
On Wednesday's 'View,' a crying Hasselbeck said that "reckless words pierce someone's heart like a sword," and apologized for what she said the day prior.

Surprised By Elisabeth's Comments: Watch
So what exactly did she say that Andrews dubbed "a slap in the face to victims of stalking and sexual predators"? Hasselbeck said: "In light of what happened and as a legal [matter] -- and as inexcusable as it was for that horrific guy to go in and try to peep on her in her hotel room ... I mean, in some way if I'm him, I'm like, 'Man! I just could've waited 12 weeks and seen this -- a little bit less -- without the prison time!'"
No word yet on what advice Elizabeth's friend Sarah had to offer, although I'm sure if Barbara has her way, we will get to hear about it very soon on, you guessed it, 'The View.'

Here, here!
Those who blame Erin Andrews for attracting the attention of a stalker are really saying that males have absolutely no control over themselves which is an insult not just to women but to most men too

Have you noticed the behaviour of some of those on DWTS ?
The dancers are supposed to be professional and not get so close to their partners except in dancing - instead they are seen flirting and a few of them end up with each other. Where is the integrity ? Chad and Cheryl are examples.

Ellistom that is rediculous, first of all we are not animals and second of all if I walk naked down the street NOONE has the right to touch me PERIOD! The man got what he deserves and good for her to catch him before he struck
so your analysis should be: if I run through the forest covered in honey and some bear chases me I should carry a gun and shoot the mother! because he doesnt have the right to attack me.

The View needs to end its run; its cancellation is long overdue. I haven't watched it for a very long time as the constant talking over one another is so annoying & unprofessional. Barbara Walters needs to be calling it a day real soon too. She should have quit while she was ahead.

Has Elizabeth forgotten what she wore on Survivor? Thats right next to nothing.

the view should apologize for being on TV

AMEN!
Erin did wear clothes to leave to the imagination. Its amazing after she wanted so much sympathy from the public she out there flirting on interviews with Maxim...As much as I don't like Elisabeth she is entitled to her opinion

Opinion is one thing...........................In this case it was like saying she asked for it........The subject was touchy and What she wears any where has nothing to do what that frkn' pervert did to her.....
Wake up people
Yes, she has a right to her opinion. But, as other people mentioned EH wore skimpy tube tops and very very short shorts on survivor. That being said, how can you criticize other people for wearing skimpy outfits on another TV show?? That is what I would like to know. EH showed a lot more skin on Survivor than any outfit that any woman wore on DWTS, Erin included. Therefore, on top of being annoying, she is a hypocrite. Can any pro EH deny that?
Elisabeth is a down to earth person-what you see-is, what you get-her apology was very sincere and heartfelt....

You mean, what EH said her daughter said? I believe the child did not not see DWTS with EH that night. Why would EH expose her child to something (in her eyes) indecent? Besides, EH never did talk to Erin.
The women of the View, just more TV trash.

Erin's costumes are not any more riskier than Edyta's or any of the
other male or female dancers on DWTS. I am wondering who chooses the outfits and who decides what costumes go on who. I believe that
the producer's control this show just like the producer's prolonged
Kate's departure until they were forced to by the public's outcry.
Elizabeth is a big baby and is ONLY out for Elizabeth. She also wears risque outfits on the view. Actually, she is the ONLY one that looks good in them on the View (lol). Nobody gave her permission to talk about Erin the way she did. NOBODY.

Elizabeth doesn't need permission to talk about Erin, what grade is this? First grade? Elizabeth is right about the costumes that Erin wore in light of the fact that she does have little on and a stalker after her. You would think she would be more careful. Everything Elizabeth says gets pounced on by the rest of the far left leaning ladies of The View. The only one who ever makes any sense is Elizabeth and I wouldn't have apologized.

Picture this. A Prostitute was found beaten nearly to death in an alley after being raped. When the police interview her and hear her story they tell her, "it's you fault because of the way you were dressed." And they give the rapist who they catch later much leniency because of this. What's wrong with this picture?
Oh saint Barbara, why didn't she have Whoopie apologize for standing up for someone like Roman Polanski? Or about abortion? Seems to be only one sided. Many of those woman talk smack, and Elisabeth gets tossed under the bus everytime. That is because she is on a different page as the rest. Hypocrites

She didn't say she deserved to be stalked, all she said was that the guy could have waited and seen almost as much skin. It's true! The women on DWTS are almost nude! I thought it was a harmless, and funny joke. If she can't stand the heat get outta the kitchen....
