Why Elisabeth's Statements Weren't a Surprise To 'The View' Ladies (Video)

Exclusive: There are so many angles with the backlash over Elisabeth Hasselbeck's comments on Erin Andrews, and 'The Insider' host Lara Spencer brings some great insight on what really went on behind the scenes at 'The View' before Hasselbeck made her now-infamous observations.

Spencer tells PopEater's own Naughty But Nice columnist Rob Shuter that the women of 'The View' likely knew what Hasselbeck was going to say. How would Spencer know? She's been a guest host on the hit show and has great insight to the host's pre-show routine.

Did Lara Spencer got a nose job? Remember seeing her years ago as one of the local tv journalists in NYC and she looks quite different.

Geez, these people (Rob & Lara) with their "sources" and they heard this and they heard that! They just can't say from whom they heard it. How can these snakes sleep at night? Oh yeah, they get a big paycheck for amping up the real story. While I don't think Erin is wearing anything half as revealing as some of the other dancers on DWTS, Elisabeth didn't say Erin deserved that sicko peeping on her. She questioned why Erin would wear those costumes after the ordeal she'd been through with the peeper--which she (Elisabeth) shouldn't have. It was inappropriate and she apologized so why the witch hunt?? You'd think Elisabeth had fallen to the level of Star or Rosie, and she certainly hasn't. I just have to laugh at all the speculation brought on by the types of rumor mongers like Lara and Rob.

Lara Spencer is not a person. She's an android who gets paid a lot of money to gossip and sensationalize other people's problems in that perky, self-righteous way. If she were human, she probably couldn't sleep at night, but she's not human, so she probably sleeps just fine. The bigger problem is that millions of people actually watch this crap. "Western culture" is now an oxymoron -- because of morons.

So ironic that Elizabeth would remark on anyone's clothing choices. Is everyone afraid to tell her that she really, really needs someone to help her. She is a pretty girl, but her clothes seem to wear her. And not well.

Has Elisabeth forgotten what she was wearing on Survivor? There were times when she was showing a little too much.

I wish everyone would leave Elizabeth alone.. shes right I have watched dancing with the stars since it started and every year they have gotten sleazier.. We watch because we like the dancing not seeing the women half naked. Joy is a total idiot also so who cares what that loud mouth says... I wish someone would stuff a sock in her mouth... our troops and veterans have fought for us to have the right to say what we feel and I say go for Elizabeth thats whats wrong with this country today no morals....

Elisabeth is a small minded, opinionated woman, who obviously has self esteem issues. People who constantly put other people down in order to boost themselves up, make me sick. Why don't people just live their own lives and quit judging other people for doing the same thing. God forbid if we all looked, thought, and did the same things! What a boring place to live it would be. If her life was more interesting, she wouldn't have to talk about other peoples.

I don't watch the view because I can't stand Joy Behar. She thinks she knows it all AND SHE THINKS SHE FUNNY In the case of Elizabeth, maybe she went a little too far but she apologized.

Elizabeth is too hyper..........too defensive..........and she does speak with out thinking................As far as Joy..she can be loud but you can tell when something is a joke and someone is serious....................The dancing custumes are great ...peple who think they are sleazy........just are closed minded ..and look at the bad in everything...............

OK ppl...first off its a dance show!!! watch a REAL dance show on pbs on a friday nite, and guess what they wear..the same outfits the stars are wearing...second yes Joy is a loud mouth, and Elisabeth needs to over herself!!! i dont watch the show period!!!! it soesnt teach us anything its just a an early gossip show. OMG with so many important things in the world to worry about or to learn about, and everyone has theyre panties in abunch over what a bimbo said...geez c'mon. I was at the taping of this show. Sad thing about all this hoopla is that she never said she(Erin) deserved it. It was a piece of fluff added to fill time. It turns into this circus.
