Kristen Stewart on Crazed Twi-hards, Seeming 'Miserable'

Ramping up for the next round of vampire madness with 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' set to drop in June, Kristen Stewart graces the cover of this month's Elle, talking relationships (why she doesn't divulge much), Twi-hards (yup, they're mental) and if she's really as glum as the tabloids make her out to be. For highlights, read on.

K-Stew doesn't kiss and tell: "I would never cheapen my relationships by talking about them. People say, 'Just say who you're dating. Then people will stop being so ravenous about it.' It's like, No they won't! They'll ask for specifics."

K-Stew doesn't see K-Stew the way the media sees K-Stew: "I think it's funny that when I go onstage to accept an award, they think I'm nervous, uncomfortable and awkward -- and I am -- but those are bad words for them."

K-Stew is not depressed on the red carpet: "People say that I'm miserable all the time. It's not that I'm miserable, it's just that somebody's yelling at me ... I literally, sometimes, have to keep myself from crying ... It's a physical reaction to the energy that's thrown at you."

K-Stew can't really do normal-person things in the wake of the Twihards: "It's insane! Once somebody finds out, you have to get the hell out of wherever you are. People freak out. Somebody knocked on my hotel room door and asked for a light, then said that they were a big fan. I was like, 'Do you really need me to light your cigarette? How do you know what room I'm in?' I can't be by myself and I like being by myself."

The issue isn't if people like or hate Twilight, that's just personal taste. The issue is what she said in this article and if she looks miserable.

She does look like she's miserable & put-out all the time.
I've seen alot of her interviews & she barely gives any information & acts like she doesn't want to be there & tell anybody anything . .
Her acting is monotone and shallow too.
And if she's going to whine & moan about losing her privacy, then she should have picked a different career.
Why would anybody who likes to be left alone go into the entertainment profession!!? *hello*?

Plus, she already know about lack of privacy after doing Twilight - yet she went and did the Runaway's movie; did she expect MORE privacy after that?

She may be a great person, but I wouldn't know it from what I see of her on and off screen. What I do know is that I don't have a whole lot of sympathy for her.

Thank you, nadiine9! This is an article about Kristen Stewart, not Twilight, LuUci. She's made plenty of other movies. And you every right to dislike her and/or her acting, but I'm afraid your tastes in books and movies is not superior to everyone else's. It's just your preference, nothing more.

I am sure that Kristen feels like her life is out of control with fans and pap wanting to know her every move. She is just real and honest about it. i think she is great and very unhollywood - not plastic and fake. She is also very young - a lot to handle at 20. I wish her the best.

I am so happy to say that I don't know anything about that overrated movie twilight! These actors and actresses are so full of themselves. Why don't everyone just stop going to the movies, it's too expensive anyway and your just paying the salaries of these whining babies. People, they are not the character in the movie, they are just like you and me, only they make more money than they are worth....stop going to their movies and let them get real jobs where they have to use their brains!!! I have no desire to know any info about any one of them....they are nothing to me!!!

Simply because you are not posing and grinning like Paris, shaking your booty like Kim Kardashian, and showing your crutch while entering a car like Britney, does not mean you are depressed or sad. Actors/actresses that say they don't like their picture taken? Then why are they in this profession? Hugh Laurie is the same way. Saw him in NY filming "The Oranges", it was only my daughter and myself standing there and I very politely asked him if I could please snap his picture. He said no, I don't like my picture taken. Huh?? I guess only pictures that make them money count. Remember, it is "us" the "fans" that get you where you are.

First: I've been watching this girl for a long time-long before the Twilight Saga. I believe she is one of the ones who could be around for a long time. IF she chooses to be. I think she has potential to be one of the greats of her generation.

Secondly: We all think we have some kind of idea what it would be like to be in her or any celebrity's shoes. But I seriously doubt if any of us even have the slightest clue. Non stop-always in your face-they never go away-flashbulbs-people screaming at you-always watching. Many of them aren't even allowed the sactity of their own homes. Can you even imagine what it would be like to have people looking in your windows? OMG! It would be down right frightening. I understand what she means when she says she reacts to "the energy being thrown at her" and how crying is a physical reaction to it. When these kids are out in public- photogs aren't being kind, nice & professional- they are all trying to get the best shot so that THEY can make more money. Needing/wanting money makes people act pretty funky most of the time. And its not fair to say "if she's going to whine & moan about losing her privacy, then she should have picked a different career"- Wanting to be- needing to be- (whatever the situation) an actor has absolutely nothing to do with not being able to handle the insanity that follows certain kinds successes.
I think we should remember: Until I've walked in their shoes.....I don't REALLY know what their life is truly like.

I just don't like Kristan Stewart. I read the book and saw the first Twilight movie. I thought the actors playing Bella and Edward acted dead in their performances. I'll tell you who was a hot vampire. Alex O'Loughlin as Mick St. John on "Moonlight " about a private investigator who happens to be immortal and works to help the living. The chemstry between him and Beth played by Sophia Myles
was awsome. I don't know why they didn't give Moon light more of a chance.

Boo Hoo, she has a gazillion Twilight dollars and can't even act. She should have a big smile plastered on her face all the time. There are thousands of struggling talented actresses who would love to change places with her and give her the peace and quiet she wants.
