Naomi Watts: 'I Feel like I'm Failing' Balancing Career and Motherhood

With films like 'Mulholland Drive,' 'The Ring' and '21 Grams' under her belt,
Naomi Watts has proven time and time again that she has "it" in Hollywood. The actress took a temporary hiatus from acting following the birth of her two sons with actor Liev Schreiber and while she has since returned to work, Watts admits she's having a difficult time balancing her career while trying to raise two young boys.
"Every single day, I second-guess myself as a mother," Watts reveals in the May 2010 issue of
Blackbook Magazine. "I chose to be a mom. It's something I've always wanted, but I feel torn between two worlds. I am not reaching the same depths and heights that I used to reach in movies because I'm a parent of two small children who desperately need me. It's frustrating because I feel like I'm failing a bit on both ends."
On being noticed in public with Liev Schreiber: "I've literally had people come up to me and say, 'You look just like that actress Naomi Watts.' And when I'm with Liev, who is so unmistakably him, girls will push past me shrieking, 'Is that the guy from 'Scream'?"
On having more children: "I would love to have an endless brood of children," she says. "I grew up in chaos. I feel comfortable in chaos. Whether or not I'll ever adopt remains to be seen, but I totally believe in adoption."
On starring in an Australian commercial in which she passes up a date with Tom Cruise in favor of a home-cooked meal: "Everyone thought it was funny and silly. But, hey, I got paid something like $10,000 for that one, which allowed me to get over the humiliation pretty quickly.
"
On her first full-frontal nude scene: "I've never done full-frontal nudity before. It was so hard for me to do that. I had just had a baby, so my body was completely different. But I thought that if I was going to play this ballsy woman, I needed to go for it. [But] someone in the crew tipped off the paparazzi! Isn't that awful?"

so sick of all these stupid, self centered, so called celebrities pushing out kids just to be a worthless parent, or hand over the kid to a nanny. then they wonder why the kid is all messed up when they grow up. really? either you want ot be a parent or a celebrity. not that hard to figure out is it??? "celebrities & crack heads should have their tubes tied! neither one is really there for the kid, only themselves.

oh please some Celebs can actually raise kids that grow up pretty-normal for example Sophia Loren who was an A List actress of her day but still managed to raise two well adjusted sons and also doted on some of her co-stars children before and after she had children of her own for example Nell & Lissy Newman when she was in the movie Lady L with their dad Paul granted it was difficult for her to watch him be affectionate with their mother Joanne Woodward behind the scenes as she was expecting their younger sister Claire through the filming and Sophia had never gotten to experience that because until then she'd only been pregnant once and miscarried simillar to how Joanne did on her & Paul's honeymoon
Naomi admitting this now will hurt her children's phsychie's in the long run Though Woodward admitted the same or simillar thing after her daughters were grown granted she's also a bigger star than Naomi will ever be awards nominations and wins speak for themselves of course she never let those trophies go to her head
