Even at 88, Betty White has the ambition of a 20-something! She brought down the house on 'Saturday Night Live' after her rabid fans on Facebook got her on the show, and now she's being recruited by yet another massively popular show: 'Dancing With the Stars.' Oh, Betty, you're in such high demand! But can she hang with the grueling workouts and routines? Details on her potential 'Dancing' dreams after the jump! After her ratings bonanza hosting 'Saturday Night Live,' Betty White has been made another offer to bring everyone's favorite Golden Girl back to primetime.
"'Dancing With The Stars' would love to have Betty White grace the dance floor next season," a show insider tells me. "Not only would she guarantee great ratings, she would also make it easier for a lot of big celebrities -- who up to now have been sitting on the fence -- to sign on. There is no one bigger or more respected than Betty White."
If she agreed to be part of the next season, who knows who else the show would get!
Sources tell me Betty hasn't agreed to anything yet and is worried about how she would keep up with some of the younger contestants. However, she does have a great Cha Cha Cha!
Is there anything this national treasure can't do? Now we'll just have to see if she can deliver a kick line with the same precision she does a punchline.
Kendra Wants In on Sex Tape Profits
Last week, news broke that reality star Kendra Wilkinson-Baskett had recorded a sex tape a few years ago. Now sources tell me that if Kendra cannot stop the release of the tape, then she wants to make sure she gets a cut of the profits.
"Kendra is no dumb blonde when it comes to business," a friend of Kendra tells me. "She has made millions selling reality shows and photographs of herself both clothed and naked. Now she's going to make millions off her sex tape."
It's an odd business, show business, isn't it? I get that if her celebrity is going to be exploited she may as well cash in, but could you imagine being a new mom and having to make that decision?
Bethenny Frankel Had Cameras in Delivery Room
Bethenny Frankel from 'The Real Housewives of New York' gave birth to a beautiful baby girl last week. Guess who was waiting to greet her new daughter in the delivery room? Reality camera crews!
"Bethenny doesn't want to live off camera. She wants her whole life documented. Why would the birth of her daughter be any different?" asked a friend. "A new reality star has been born."
Neither Bethenny nor a representative for her returned my emails for comment. Now don't go getting all shy on us Bethenny!

Betty was asked this on Larry King and Ellen, and she said she wouldn't do it,stating "Cloris Leachman has already done it for our age group."

Love Betty. Please no more very elderly "dancers" on DWTS
look is good
I have the utmost respect for all of the elderly people in the owrld, not only those in the public eye. What I do not respect is the TV executives using them to try and get ratings while giving them nothing but humiliation. They do not belong on DWTS, they only bring down the quiality of the show, case in point, Cloris Leachman, Buzz Aldrin and any other that they have had on the show. Please leave the show up to those that may have some potential to be able to dance and last to the finals.
I love Betty just as much as everyone else, but please, the lady is in her twilight years and you don't want to overwork the poor woman!

You should be so lucky as to be in your 'twilight years' with this womans energy and vibrance. Don't count us old broads out!
I love DWTS and I love Betty White, but they need to stop putting people like Betty, Chloris and Buzz on. Though I loved Chloris's antics on the show, it was sometimes painful to watch and certainly hard to hear them critiqued honestly. Out of respect for our elderly celebrity treasures, give them a senior version or only have them on as honored guests
Betty White is a terrific actress. She danced more than once on Golden Girls...I say you go girl...you really rock!

Betty White is actually a celebrity which in turn disqualifies her for Dancing with the Stars. That show only has somewhat known or " yeah they kind of look familar" people on it. Don't do it Betty, it will wreck your image.

I think you have it wrong - the "STARS" are the celebrities so Betty White would NOT be disqualified.
As much as I love Betty and would love to watch her on DWTS, I really think it would be way too much on Betty. I don't know if anyone has noticed, but she actually has a bit of a problem walking I suspect. Did anyone take notice of her walking on stage to do her opening during SNL? I would love to see Betty on DWTS, but I just don't think it would be a wise decision health wise. Her body is 88 (even if her mind is 25) and her bones will be so apt to breaking so easily. Not to mention the training takes a toll on these young contestants, what do you think it would be like on an 88 year old woman? God bless her and we love her, but I think she should turn this one down, even as much as I would love to see her!

are they trying to kill her?

I have to agree with this statement.
Betty is 88 years old. DWTS would be too much to ask her to do.
Betty White is only being considered because of her popularity.
I do not mean any disrespect, I love her my self. Shes a great woman, and a great actress. But for her to dance on DWTS,,,too much. Is DAWTS this desperate for ratings, to ask a 88 year old to be on?
I was worried about Cloris Leachman when she was on.
It wouldnt wreck her imagine at all. It is simply too much for anyone at that age. DWTS will lose my respect if she goes on.

I agree 100%...Love betty white.
If they want Betty White they should do a version where all the stars are older dancing with young partners. That would draw in an older audience and level the playing field. I've never watched the show, but I might watch that.

i think that is the greatest idea anyone has ever had!!!!
That is a very good point. Who wants to see her get hurt.
Great idea! DWTS could run a second series for seniors and all would have a chance to be a winner, instead of a gimmick for a few weeks. Not to mention, less stress on the older bones!
Why are they wanting to bring Betty White back to DWTS?? She's ALREADY been on DWTS once before, that's what launched her current burst of popularity. That would be a first, for DWTS to bring back someone who's already been on the show??? She was paired with Mark Ballas' father Corky Ballas
