Bobby Brown Gets Engaged on Stage

Singer Bobby Brown proposed to his girlfriend of nearly three years, manager Alicia Etheridge, on Friday while on stage at his show at Metro Park in Jacksonville, Florida.

Etheridge joined Brown on stage, holding their 11-month-old son, Cassius, when he got down on one knee and presented her with a ring, PEOPLE reports. The crowd cheered on the couple as she kissed him and accepted the proposal.

Brown, who had a troubled marriage to Whitney Houston, seemed to be ready for a fresh start with his girlfriend.

Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, Brown's substance abuse troubles became headline news -- instead of his music career. In late 2003, Brown was arrested for misdemeanor battery, allegedly for striking Houston.

Brown married Whitney Houston on July 19, 1992, and they have one daughter, Bobbi Kristina Houston-Brown, who was born on March 4, 1993.

After 14 years of marriage, Houston filed for a legal separation from Brown.

A once stunningly beautiful woman with the voice of an Angel who can no longer carry a tune if she had a bucket. She was just laughed off two international stages. Does this mean that they are not divorced and "just separated"? If that is the case I guess that there will not be a wedding anytime soon.
