Georgia Jagger Gives Taskmaster Mick the Slip

Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall must be in a State of Shock (rimshot!). Despite grounding daughter Georgia May in late April, she broke the ban by attending a high-profile event hosted by Chanel, reports the Daily Mail. Georgia, 18, jetted to St. Tropez, the chic French resort, to model in Chanel's 'Cruise 2011' show. Her high-flying folks are concerned her partying ways are jeopardizing her school exams scheduled this summer.

This isn't Georgia's first public clash with her parents. She canceled a planned appearance at a party on King's Road in Chelsea after being informed she had to remain at home to study. The stakes are high. Her school in Surrey charges £10,000-a-year, close to $15,000. Sir Mick was also a bright bulb, having studied at the prestigious London School of Economics.

Although young, Georgia's chomping at the bit may not be premature. She has earned a fair degree of success at the modeling game in short order. Reports say she has earned approximately $900,000 from a three-year deal with Hudson, a jeans manufacturer. She has also graced the cover of 'Vogue' magazine, and has been the face of campaigns for Versace and Rimmel. She was voted British Model of the Year at the British Fashion Awards last December.

The Chanel event was high-powered. Fashion doyen Karl Lagerfeld screened his short film, 'Remember Now,' which was followed by the the Chanel 'Cruise 2011' show.

Mick and Jerry have tried to be understanding regarding Georgia's rebellious ways, but were pushed to the edge last January, when photographs surfaced of their daughter sniffing a substance at a pub near the family home during a party. "Although Georgia is adamant drugs were not taken on her birthday, Mick and Jerry curtailed her partying from that point on," revealed a source.

The parental ban does show some flexibility and may allow the young Vogue-poser to continue with her highly-lucrative gig as a part-time model.

You obviously don't know who she is. Claudia Schiffer is not a druggie, nor do you ever hear anything about her being in "trouble" She is a beautiful model who is a grown woman and has had an amazing career since the early 90's. Oh and another thing, the baby's daddy is her husband!

I am glad to see Jagger pushing his daughter to finish her education and study. Jagger was (is) indeed a bright bulb, being the brains behind the success of the Stones. He had his wild times and likely still does; no father wants a child to fail or do bad things that would make failure a fact. And Jagger should know about bad things out there!

MAGOOS, wasn't it their first producer Andrew Loog Oldham the one mostly responsible for their early success? And if one were to credit ANY band member, wouldn't Brian Jones be the one? Of course during the British Invasion, it didn't take a genius. In fact pretty much all it took was a British accent.

Mick's daughter is hot! And she is 18 so why can't she choose her own path? Wish I could make almost a million dollars in 3 years. Sounds like a better deal than going to school like us regular losers should. I never understood the idea that if you are already rich and getting high paying gigs in showbiz that you need to prepare for some boring job. How much money does a person need anyway?

You need an education for when the buck stops. Eighteen is very young and lots of people with millions have lost or spent it all in a short time. Plus even to be taken seriously you need to educated.

She needs to be soundly spanked.. not in a fetishy way, but in a parental "you are getting too big for your britches way".. she may be 18, but she is still living with her parents, and her celebrity does not make her better than anyone else. Mick should be a responsible father and do what needs to be done to keep his daughter in check and show her she cant behave like an immature brat just because she has money. Yeah right Kyle, as if an 18 year old would let anybody spank her in the first place, especially if she is a high profile and highly successful fashion model! Aside from that, spanking somebocy who is 18 or older is illegal, illegal as in "against the law," anotherwords do it and you get thrown in jail! I seriously doubt anybody who is 18 or for that matter anybody who is a TEENAGER, 18 or not, would let anybody spank them. How do they do it with a straight face? Besides, do they think their kids haven't heard the stories? Studio 54 was the place, Cocaine was the stuff and Mick and Jerry STUFFED themselves EVERY NIGHT.

What I have to say is this, go Georgia! At 18 she is her own person and her dad can't tell her what to do or how to live, (well he could but Georgia doesn't have to follow it). If Georgia wants to persue modelling instead of school thats her choice not her dad's and if she wants to make that choice theres nothing her dad can do about it. You could say by grounding her that her dad is trying to get her to focus more on schoolwork, well with her going to France for a modelling shoot its obvious that didn't work! So you see, when her dad tries to get her to focus more on something such as schoolwork, it doesn't work! When her dad tries to ground her, it doesn't work! After all what could he possibly do, throw her out? That wouldn't be a problem for her, with the money she makes she would have no problem getting her own place and supporting herself. Im surprised she hasn't moved out already. Aside from that though, with Georgia going to the modelling event in France when she was grounded, as I said before, go Georgia!
