Barbara Walters Recovering From Heart Surgery

Barbara Walters' doctors are happy with the results of the TV legend's heart surgery.

"Barbara Walters' surgery went well and the doctors are very pleased with the outcome," says the rep to the 80-year-old 'View' star. Walters' had valve replacement. She had explained that one of her heart valves was getting "tighter and smaller" and that it needed to be replaced.

"Nobody wants to have this kind of surgery," Walters said when she announced she was going under the knife. "It's not elective."

Good thing this condition show up now and not a few years from now, because the Gov't healthcare would never have allowed her to have the valve replacement, not at her age, even though she is productive and paying taxes. Sammie, these people may not believe you but you are SO right on. Everything is going to change with National Healthcare. You want to hear something funny--or not really--Greece is in serious financial ruin and they have asked other countries for financial aid and they have been in talks to help pull their country out of the financial downfall. Do you know what one of the stipulations is--that they do away with national healthcare because it is such a drain on the country. Same place we will be!

Betty White got the best ratings for Saturday Night and people wanted her on the show. No one wants to hear from your ignorant mouth. As for Barbara Walters, has made historical achievements, interviewed kings and queens, religious leaders, presidents and some of the most historical figures of all time.
