Best wishes for a speedy recovery Barbara. BTW, did you ask your surgeon what kind of a tree he would like to be? I always remember that line from your interview with Katharine Hepburn. Get well soon.

God Bless Barbara. Oh you have your faults but overall I believe you have lived a good life with much devotion to your fellow man. You support good causes and you deserve to live what is left of your life in peace and with much happiness. Nothing but the best to you my dear. The world would be a much sadder place without you. Can't wait till you return to "The View" at the end of the summer. God Bless........... Your old pal Matthew.

Barbara, i don't know what kind of valve replacement you chose. my husband got a bacterial endocartis. This was on dec. 31 1987 he was 34 at the time. He has a artifical aortic valve. His is mechanical. Its a st judes valve. He has had his for 22 years. he's 57 yrs old. he still drives a truck. not long distance anymore but he still works and in oct 2008 he was diagnosed with bladder cancer and had his bladder removed. he has a ostomy bag,but he still drives. i admire you at your age to go through this procedure because it is a very serious operation. my husband went back to work six weeks after his surgery so just take it easy and i wish you for you to have a speedy recovery. God Bless Cheryl Merrell

What the hell are you talking about?
Betty White got the best ratings for Saturday Night and people wanted her on the show. No one wants to hear from your ignorant mouth. As for Barbara Walters, has made historical achievements, interviewed kings and queens, religious leaders, presidents and some of the most historical figures of all time.
Get over your insufficient achievements, get a job and make something of yourself other than a fool.

I don't know why I thought she was much younger. She is very active for her age, but that can be a good thing sometimes. I do wonder if she should retire to enjoy herself more - unless, of course, she enjoys showbiz so much that she wants to keep it as a hobby.
