Roger Ebert Gives Thumbs Up to New Memoir

Film critic Roger Ebert is writing a memoir, according to a new report from the
AP.
The untitled book will reportedly touch upon numerous subjects in Ebert's life, including his recent battle with thyroid cancer, which rendered him speechless, and his friendship with longtime TV cohort Gene Siskel, who died in 1999 at age 53.
Grand Central Publishing will release the book, with a tentative launch date for fall 2011, according to executive editor Mitch Hoffman.
In February, the Pulitzer Prize-winning critic made a
rare television appearance on the 'Oprah Winfrey Show,' during which he debuted new computer technology that allows him to speak through a synthesized voice.
Ebert, who co-hosted 'Siskel and Ebert' and its various incarnations until 2006, continues to write for the
Chicago Sun-Times and is very active on
Twitter.
PopEater spoke to Ebert's wife, Chaz, about Ebert's health last month.

Didn't like him before the cancer, and take offense at him using it to advance himself and his adgenda! He's an idiot!

I can only say that I hope you get the same cancer he has and somebody calls you an idiot. You're beyond idiotic though: perhaps a bottom feeder in a fish tank would be a better description of you.
What's an "adgenda"? At least Ebert can make it through one sentence before looking like a moron.
Get help.Lets see if you get thyroid cancer and have to go through all the things he did.You have no life if your gonna call people an idiot for getting sicknesses they can't help or control.
He dosent think anybody will finish him off or he wouldnt say stupid sht.

If anyone is stupid, it's you. How dare you write such offensive stuff on this blog. Talk about getting finished off. What about you?

Roger Ebert is a good, smart, and brave man. Which is more than I can say for those of you who take this opportunity to anonymously slander him over the Internet. Talk about kicking a man when he's down. Hope it felt good cowards. I pity you.

Poor guy has been through a lot. Just pray that you never have to go through the same some day.
Err...what's going on with the picture?

Unfortunately Mr Ebert has very narrow and self serving opinons for his own agenda...He was not a very great critique of all the films just the ones he thought people should see...There are many different movie viewers and they must judge them for what each and everyone prefers...He best stay out of politics but that's what those idiots in Hollywood do...

What is your defition of a critic?? They aren't supposed to like every thing that crosses their desk, and Roger was (and is) one of the best at his craft. How else do you explain his winning the Pulitzer Prize? Not many movie critics have done that. I was tremendously saddened when his partner Gene Siskel died as they were the most perfect counterpoints. Just look to the show they left behind and how quickly is was canceled without the two of them. Roper was good, but he was no Siskel.
Best of luck to you Roger, and I hope you get your voice back one day.
Brave man for what he diddnt do anything but survive cancer. He wants to talk about people wearing the American flag America.More like a lot of these guys will say stuff here but go to another nation let them get checked and see what they do lmao
