Roger Ebert Gives Thumbs Up to New Memoir

Film critic Roger Ebert is writing a memoir, according to a new report from the
AP.
The untitled book will reportedly touch upon numerous subjects in Ebert's life, including his recent battle with thyroid cancer, which rendered him speechless, and his friendship with longtime TV cohort Gene Siskel, who died in 1999 at age 53.
Grand Central Publishing will release the book, with a tentative launch date for fall 2011, according to executive editor Mitch Hoffman.
In February, the Pulitzer Prize-winning critic made a
rare television appearance on the 'Oprah Winfrey Show,' during which he debuted new computer technology that allows him to speak through a synthesized voice.
Ebert, who co-hosted 'Siskel and Ebert' and its various incarnations until 2006, continues to write for the
Chicago Sun-Times and is very active on
Twitter.
PopEater spoke to Ebert's wife, Chaz, about Ebert's health last month.

What is wrong with all these unhappy idiots?? One numb skull writes that he "didn't like Ebert's politics". I watched the man for 25 years and never once heard him espouse his politics.
I'm sure jaywest71 measures his movies by how many explosions they have.
