Kate Gosselin's 'DWTS' Return a Gift and a Curse?

Kate Gosselin might be excited about her return to the 'Dancing With the Stars' finale on May 24 and 25, however, other cast members are not so thrilled. Insiders, who know the ropes behind the hit competition, tell me that while Kate's return will likely bring in monster ratings, it is also bringing sneers and jeers from other competitors, who didn't exactly get along swimmingly with the octomom.

"Everyone, especially Kate's old dancing partner Tony, are dreading the return of Gosselin to the dance floor," one insider told me. "Kate comes with a lot of drama. She's the only celebrity who insisted on having a bodyguard with her at all times and put the costume department through hell each week. She tortured Tony and you don't even want to know what she put the show's hairdressers through! The day Kate was voted off, everyone was celebrating backstage. It's been a lot less toxic without her."

However, one group that is looking forward to Kate returning is the bigwigs at ABC, who only care about that Kate is ratings gold.

"Since Kate left the show, ratings plummeted to the lowest performance of the season. Down a full 17 percent just two weeks after Kate was ousted," an ABC executive tells me. "You have to remember that at the end of the day, ABC cares about ratings -- not transforming Kate Gosselin into Miss Congeniality."

I'm not sure if it's good Kate or bad Kate that's going to show up next week, but I can tell you this -- no matter which Kate it is, we are ALL going to be watching.

Not all of us will be watching K.G. I watched the very end to see she got voted off. Who does she think she is? Body Guards? LOL. Even made up she didn't look natural or good. I think she is a loser. Why didn't they bring some of the others back, not her. Let her go back to her 8 kids & do whatever, she is not a celebrity now or ever will be.

Most of us would love it if we never had to see white trash, narcissistic Katie again. She's a self absorbed, fake, horrible person who seems to get worse the older she gets. Anyone who can lie to church congregations for years to generate donations is about as low as it gets. Feel sorry for her kids and anyone who has to encounter her each day.

Such conflicting media on the relationship with Kate and Tony.....why did he take his child to her children's birthday party if he hates her so much????

I really don't think Tony hates her, it's that she is a very hard person to get along with. In other words, her attitude sucks as a individual. She's a control freak and when she was booted off, it was less trouble they had to deal with. She gave the backstage people trouble. Walking around with a body guard she didn't need. She was just bad news. Now I was tired about hearing about Jon and Kate and never watched the reality show. Just saw the drama between the two of them. Now watching her on DWTS I just saw how she spoke to Tony her instructor as if he were some child. Here you have a girl, that doesn't know how to dance, but yet she's trying to tell him how to dance, and brother that ticked me off. I was glad she got thrown off, and didn't miss her. It has been real pleasant watching DWTS for the last weeks without her! I really don't want to see Kate again!

I'm sure this Lady has been through alot, I mean, all those kids! I love my two boys with all my heart but its hard sometimes, and sometimes its such a blessing to have good family and friends to help. But why does she insist on being so rude and hateful to people who are trying to help her. She didnt get famous for doing anything but bringing her children in the world, and although that in itself is wonderful, it happens everyday. I just dont see why she cant lose the attitude and learn some humility, or least show some emotion other than whinning. I think she could make something wonderful for herself and children without leaving them a legacy of mindless, stuck up b#t@yness behind.

I started watching TLC when Jon/Kate started....then heard a boyfried of hers say that she was all about the money and her her her. Her nasty words to Jon (in front of the kids no less) were shamefull. I truly can't blame him for wanting peace and quite. Niecie was who I was watching, loved her. Your right body guard my foot. Didn't see any reporters or cameras around, so why. She can not dance....she WALKED thru her routine. Like most of you I am surprised she lasted as long as she did.

Kate Gosslin is working to feed her children and keep a roof over their heads and keep the heat and water on at their home. Unlike some mothers who are on the gov't welfare take.
LEAVE HER ALONE. GOOD MOTHER'S SHOW THEIR KIDS A VALUE SYSTEM OF RESPONSIBILITY, AND SHE IS DOING IT.

They are giving her a lot more credit then she deserves. If ratings dropped, it was not because Kate left the show. The paperazzi and the media keep her name alive but we, the viewers do not think she is as exciting as YOU think she is. I am speaking for myself and my friends who used to watch Jon and Kate plus 8. We liked watching the family, it was real, it was cozy, we saw some of ourselves in it, but just Kate, we can do with out it. As a mom she is a phony, as a wife she was also a phony, and when she talks, she always goes back to what a good mom she is. From what I see, all she wants is fame yet she, as most "celebritiies" today have no talent.

Kate is great! She is a working Mom who has an edge to her and that is that. DWTS sucks most of the time, I only watched when Kate was on so I could see her reactions to the judges and to see how she handled the dancing. I think everyone who has something bad to say is just jealous and has no idea what it takes to be a Mom of 8 children. Yes, she may have a bad attitude at times, but look where she is now... Keep your head up Kate and don't let these jealous fools wear you down!
