Jennifer Love Hewitt Will 'Whisper' No More

It's cancellation season thanks to the network television upfronts this week, and today's CBS portion was nothing short of a bloodletting. On the chopping block were popular-but-not-sustainable shows like 'Cold Case' and the funny Julia Louis-Dreyfus comedy 'New Adventures of Old Christine.' Also coming to an end will be the reign of Jennifer Love Hewitt and her show 'The Ghost Whisperer,' a paranormal drama of sorts that has managed to survive since 2005.

They always cancel the good shows and keep the stupid ones! I love Ghost Whisperer, it's the one of only 3 shows I watch on any of the regular networks.... This is why people are more and more turning to the cable channels for their entertainment.... CBS, ABC, and NBC don't pay attention to them and what they like.

I think Ghost Whisperer put too much stress on the fans when it went down a rabbit hole by killing Melindas Husband.No one understood that or what the show went in that direction at all. Still a great show. We'll miss it.

Old Christine and Ghost Whisperer were two of my favorites. Pretty soon I'll just be reading at night. Not sure who makes these dumb decisions. I guess we will have to fill the slots with more rigged reality shows.

I really LOVED Ghost Whisperer! I am really sad to see the show go. Hopefully NBC will be picking up the show... Keep our fingers crossed!

WOW, We as a family really LOVED that show and we still watch all of the reruns. However, just read that ABC may take the show Ghost Whisperer! Nothing official yet, but there is still hope! :)

Man.. that was one of the last good shows on tv. Hope you're right and NBC picks it up. I miss the good shows on tv with real stories in them like this one, Xena, Hercules, even some of the 90210 shows were good in the beginning. Bring back the epic writing! Reality shows, docu's, and foreplay writing gets really old really quick. At least IMO.

I hope that another station picks Ghost Whisperer up! I enjoyed this show very much! Maybe NBC will pick this show up. After all, they did give Medium up before they went to CBS. Maybe G.W. will do better if they move it to NBC! I love G.W. much more than I do Medium! Go NBC!

I love Ghost Whisperer. I had to start recording it as I work the night shift now. Being a nurse, it was a great show to relax to and enjoy. I have watched it since the beginning. I wish CBS or ABC would reconsider as I am one of many who truely loved GW. There are too many reality TV shows and Crime shows. I guess I will now just watch a movie once in a while. Honestly, this was the only show that I watched.
