'Single Ladies' Tots Are Back With More Sexy Dancing

'Single Ladies' girls; 'My Boyfriends Back' video

A very young precision dance troupe started quite a scandal last week when a YouTube video featuring a group of 7- and 8-year-old girls wearing midriff-baring tops and short skirts dancing to Beyonce's 'Single Ladies' hit the web. Although a World of Dance representative and the girls' own parents claimed the dance was "taken out of context," this isn't the first time these young dancers have caused a stir by acting grown up during dance competitions. Here, the girls perform 'My Boyfriend's Back' at the 2009 Hall of Fame Nationals:

According to YouTube, the 'My Boyfriend's Back' routine was choreographed by Dance Precisions' Molly Long. Dance Precisions' studio in Orange County, California, offers training in jazz, tap, ballet and hip hop for beginners to advanced dancers, ages 3 to 18 years. Representatives from the studio did not return a call for comment.

With nearly 2 million hits, the controversial 'Single Ladies' clip, taped at the World of Dance competition in Pomona, Calif., last month, has gone viral.

Melissa Presch, mother of one of the little dancers, told 'Inside Edition' that the girls got their moves from the 'Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel' -- not Beyonce's music video. But with this suggestive new footage from past competitions, eyebrows are still raised. But who is to blame?

Larry Peters, executive vice president of The Hozman Group and rep for the World of Dance competition, says the controversy regarding the 'Single Ladies' performance was blown out of proportion.

"I can tell you the cheering and screaming you heard on the video was from other parents and dance teams that were just blown away by their dance performance and precision. There was NOTHING provocative about what they were doing," Peters told PopEater last week.

The World of Dance Tour is the largest national urban and street dance competition, and in 2010 is taking place in nine major markets throughout the U.S. Top dance troupes partake in competition, which focuses on the art of street dancing and today's new age choreography, embracing urban dance and youth lifestyle.

Your an idiot. There is absolutely nothing sexually provacative about this dance routine to any NORMAL person. Anyone who finds this sexually stimulating would also do so if the girls were simply standing around in regular street clothes. It has nothing to do with what they wear or how they act to the sexual predator. You need to put away your puritan, and believe me I AM a conservative person, ideas of what it prim and proper and simply look at the art form as just that, ART.

I do not believe this is right. it is wrong. tese girls are AMAZING dancers. they have beautiful technique and have amazing potenial. i am a dancer of 10 years and i am truely jelous of their talent but it is masked by their provocitiveness. they should not be dancing that way but their talent is impecable. good luck to them in the future i just hope the content stys more age appropriate.

@tim, yes it is dancing but it is also WAY too close to fornication. i thought the single ladies was messed up, but the boyfriend one is far worse, you cannot deny that those moves aren't sexual. i'm not an adult, but i know that dancing is inappropriate. kids raised up thinking this is ok are the ones who often end up with STDs, or in a teen pregnancy, all ending up with a hugely messed up life. it's amazing seeing how messed up this country is getting. already some idiots think that little girls dressed like hookers, doing a very sexual dance is "ok," and "something to be encouraged!!!!" what is wrong with this picture???? A LOT!!!! 19% said they would let their children dance like that. there shouldn't even be 1% that said yes. stuff like this just sickens me.

I have nothing against girls having fun and dancing, however this is more like a stripper's routine than hip hop. These girls are way too young to dress and move like that. They are being portrayed as tramps rather than girls.

I imagine if I were a "dancer" in the audience I may have got caught up in it and thought it was cute. But there is nothing really cute about 7 and 8 year olds gyrating and pelvic thrusting. My daughters were tap, jazz and ballet dancers and they were amazing. One of mine was offered to dance at Julliard Ballet School but took a different route in school. She was on toe at 10 but we were advised she should wait because of her feet and waited until 11. She was amazing and I would have NEVER let her dance like this nor would her very PROFESSIONAL instructor. This is not dancing--yes they do a few dance moves but most of it is gyrating. They are letting these girls grow up too quickly and the teacher should be ashamed of herself--not to mention the parents!

I agree these girls need to be taught better values!! whatever hapened to teaching them to respect their bodies? these girls are now out there as targets and two of the parents are known by face and name so now the pedophiles can snatch them more easily!! when i was thei rage i was out in the yard in a t shirt n pants rolling around in the dirt and playing with dolls!! my mom woulda had aheart attack if i tried to do these moves even in front of her in our home!! lets stop the sexualisation of our girls and brin gback morals!!

I very much agree to that.That was a very dangerous move to let girls at that age expose to the public dancing like they want to seduce men. watch out for predators people This is ugly.I dont think its entertaining at all.And we wonder why bad things happen to little girls.Where is the moral in there?

I AGREE THEY ARE JUSTN DANCING AND IF THEY ARE PLANNING A FUTURE IN DANCING THEY HAVE TO KNOW ALL TYPES OF DANCING...ITS OUR JOB TO PROTECT THEM BY EDUCATING THEM ABOUT THE CRAZY WORLD WE LIVE IN. I agree full heartedly.....but what everyone is also forgeting is that these girls would look just as good doing a dance that is less grown up....They will have plenty of time in their life to do the other kind of dancing.....I have 4 daughters and would never allow them to dance in such a manner at that age. There are so many other ways to show thier dance talent....Plus , trust me ,how you train them at that age, also effects their attitude in their future years....and by the way, I am a dance instructor and would have found a more creative way to show off their talent.......

Typical Americans, this is up and with the times, I see nothing inappropiate about any of this. They arent humping anything, there is nothing sexual about it. In Europe this wouldnt be concidered sexual, or inappropiate. It would be concidered cute. America is full of prudes and no wonder everyone cheats. Everyone has there mind in the gutter. What would you prefer them dance to Marry had a little lamb? Bravo girls keep up your good talents. Wish I could have those kinds of moves maybe my boyfriend wouldnt have cheated on me.

Absolutely. This video only feeds the pedophiles who already sexualize children. But its not the dancing, its the dance moves with the outfit. If the girls were not wearing such provocative? sexy? outfits - bustiers and stockings? then perhaps the moves wouldn't seem so sexually provocative.
