A very young precision dance troupe started quite a scandal last week when a YouTube video featuring a group of 7- and 8-year-old girls wearing midriff-baring tops and short skirts dancing to Beyonce's 'Single Ladies' hit the web. Although a World of Dance representative and the girls' own parents claimed the dance was "taken out of context," this isn't the first time these young dancers have caused a stir by acting grown up during dance competitions. Here, the girls perform 'My Boyfriend's Back' at the 2009 Hall of Fame Nationals:According to YouTube, the 'My Boyfriend's Back' routine was choreographed by Dance Precisions' Molly Long. Dance Precisions' studio in Orange County, California, offers training in jazz, tap, ballet and hip hop for beginners to advanced dancers, ages 3 to 18 years. Representatives from the studio did not return a call for comment.
With nearly 2 million hits, the controversial 'Single Ladies' clip, taped at the World of Dance competition in Pomona, Calif., last month, has gone viral.
Melissa Presch, mother of one of the little dancers, told 'Inside Edition' that the girls got their moves from the 'Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel' -- not Beyonce's music video. But with this suggestive new footage from past competitions, eyebrows are still raised. But who is to blame?
Larry Peters, executive vice president of The Hozman Group and rep for the World of Dance competition, says the controversy regarding the 'Single Ladies' performance was blown out of proportion.
"I can tell you the cheering and screaming you heard on the video was from other parents and dance teams that were just blown away by their dance performance and precision. There was NOTHING provocative about what they were doing," Peters told PopEater last week.
The World of Dance Tour is the largest national urban and street dance competition, and in 2010 is taking place in nine major markets throughout the U.S. Top dance troupes partake in competition, which focuses on the art of street dancing and today's new age choreography, embracing urban dance and youth lifestyle.

What kind of parents would let thier kids participate in a dance like that and dressed like that.
What a shame .
good for you. i too think what is the matter with these parents thinking were they even thinking about the sexual perverts out there? also how is it possible for such iliterate parents to have children in the first place
I could not agree with you more. I have 4 kids myself. There are too manny sick people out there.
sorry you cant dance...
Im not sure you should expose your daughters to the exploitation on the internet. Being a young parent you should consider consequences you're putting your daughter in. I personally don't have a problem with it, but I also am not a petafile. I do have a daughter quite a bit older now. She also had her cute moments but times are not what they used to be.Be careful these kids are our future. I SURE HOPE I HAVEN'T OFFENDED ANYBODY.
Ya know my wifes daughters tween child was dancing to/like Mike Jackson while no one else was paying attention... I've got to agree with you it's unnerving... I have to admit sometimes I just tune the whole world out and kick back to watch the latest episode of "Charli Brown." Get a clue something has gone way wrong with our society when 8 year olds are stepping up and their parents can't even pay their morgage or afford to replace their specticals [i tink that's the key phrase.] What's mankind supposed to do?

The ppl that say "get over it" or we are all "over reacting" crack me up! This is scary! It's a pedofiles wet dream to watch clips like this! What is wrong with you people?? I don't care who you are or how "liberal" you claim to be, pelvic thrusts are NEVER appropriate for a 7 year old CHILD! I'm a very open minded single male adult. I'm far from a right wing conservative, but this video really creeps me out. The worst part is, the kids are incredibility talented. They should be showcased in a better light.
You have a very good point. The parents of these girls are quite apparently clueless. Not only that, they make Britney Spears look SMART!! They may not be doing it on purpose, but they are WHORING out their young impressionable daughters.
If it wasn't that it was on GMA as obscene, all I saw was PURE talent. I saw them dancing on point, with a couple of slips. Some of you were looking at there clothing instead of the dance routine. Get a grip people. I've been to plenty of recitals & the little one's always STEAL the show. Ask any parent that has their child in a dance studio. The crowd was cheering cause they did a great DANCE routine, not because it was inappropriate.
Controversy sells Airtime & magazines, and that's why the media presses the issue.
Yo Tim, if you've ever wondered what makes pedophiles tick, look within buddy. You find all your answers there.
oh these girls are adorable! if my little girls could dance like this (or me, for that case) i would be showin them off to the whole world.
unless your a dancer, then u have no idea what ur talking about. they are great!
I agree, it doesn't take much to set off the sick minds of the world. I think these kids can show off their talent rather than present themselves as sex symbols. thier parents need to be investigated for child abuse. Wake up world, stop teasing the sick people of the world
nothing in the video said anything about where these girls are from. nothing about what studio they dance at, where they go to school, or where they live. all of that got released once people started freaking out about the dance and then the media got involved and released where the girls were from.
For anyone who THINKS Miley Cyrus was pole dancing--you obviously haven't seen pose dancing. I think they just fashioned the pole for her to hold onto while that one cart was moving. If you have even seen America's Funnest Home Videos, person + thing with wheels + force of movement = bruises. Unless she was hanging upside down on the pole by her THIGHS (And if I remember correctly she was wearing skinny leg jeans) and singing like that, she was not pole dancing! Look it up on You Tube!!!!
So...these parents are okay with the fact that there are sure to be pedophiles whacking off to videos of their little girls? What the hell is wrong with people today?
This is sick stuff. Total abuse of children at an extremely young age. Why would any parent do this? Money and being sick.
These are the only reasons I can think of. Tim needs to check himself for possibly being a baffoon not to mention a better word.
THIS is NOT "risque", and THEY are NOT "TOTS". "TOTS" is short for Toddlers. They are double that and then some. Risque is a word used for strippers, not children who are merely putting on a dance performance. Grow UP people!
ANYONE who would use the word "Sexy" in teh same sentence with "Tots" is definitely missing a few marbles.
Ditto...Shame on their parents!!! What happened to morals and ethics with in our human race?
That is EXACTLY what I was thinking...the first thing that came to my mind was oh my god I can only imagine the kinds of perverts watching this! And little 7 year old girls should not be dressing or dancing like that what so ever...this is just really wrong in many ways.
