Jesse James to Appear on ABC's 'Nightline': Will Discuss Cheating, Sandra Bullock, and Rehab

ABC News announced today that Jesse James will appear on next Tuesday's 'Nightline,' in his first television interview since his cheating scandal made headlines in March.

James sits down with 'Nightline's' Vicki Mabrey and discusses his cheating, his divorce from Sandra Bullock, his stint in rehab, and his role in raising Louis, the New Orleans boy Bullock just recently adopted.

Since news of his multiple affairs hit the press, James has kept a low profile, seen only when dropping his kids off at school. But while staying relatively out of the spotlight, the reality star has issued several statements apologizing for his behavior.

When PEOPLE broke the story of Bullock's adoption last month, Jesse released the following statement to the magazine, "My whole life has been full of hard decisions. The decision to let my wife end our marriage, and continue the adoption of Louis on her own, has been the hardest. The love I have for Louis cannot be put to words. Not having him around to love and to hold has left a huge hole in my heart."

The interview will air on May 25 at 11:35 ET/PT on ABC.

I hope the reporter did not stoop to his level. Perhaps she is a decent woman. Not every woman would want to be with a creepy looking man who is a cheater. Plus he has way too many tatoos. Some women hate tatoos.

I still have no respect for him. He waits more than two months to grant an interview!?! If he were really sorry and trying to get back into the good graces of his wife and the general population, he would have been on Oprah's couch back in March...that's a much larger audience than Nightline.

I am sure J J is not the only one at fault as the story says. For the reported ladies he was involved with are just as guilty as he is. It's a shame his wife Sandra cannot find it within her heart to see this issue for what it really is and was, and allow their lives as to move ahead as they had planned to, before all this none sense began and was leaked out to the press.

So, jtrynoble - what was his cheating all about then? What was she suppose to see, that she should forgive his behavior of having two mistresses? His lack of respect? Lack of delay of gratification? Lack of love or like? Humans are not meant to be monogamous creatures? Id like to know before my husband strays or I stray so we can fix whatever is not right or not strong in our marriage. They seemed to have had a strong marriage, but apparently not. What are you seeing that the rest of us (who support Sandra's decision) do not see.
