Megan Fox Dropped from 'Transformers 3'

Last year, Megan Fox was quick to bite the hand that feeds when she was quoted as saying some not-so-nice things about 'Transformers' director Michael Bay. Well, according to Deadline.com, Fox won't be cast in 'Transformers 3.' The site reports that it was "ultimately" Bay's decision.

A studio spokeswoman confirmed to Variety that Paramont decided against picking up Fox to star as Mikaela Banes in the third installment but declined to elaborate.

Bay and writer Ehren Kruger are reportedly casting a new female co-star who will be Shia LaBeouf's new love interest.

The drama between Fox and Bay started last year when she told London's Wonderland Magazine, "[Bay] wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is. So he's a nightmare to work for but when you get him away from set, and he's not in director mode, I kind of really enjoy his personality because he's so awkward, so hopelessly awkward," Megan continued. "He has no social skills at all. And it's endearing to watch him. He's vulnerable and fragile in real life and then on set he's a tyrant."

And according to Megan, Bay pushes his actors to the almost breaking point while filming. "Shia and I almost die when we make a 'Transformers' movie," she told the mag. "He has you do some really insane things that insurance would never let you do."

After those reports surfaced, she tried to clear the air when she accepted her award for Best Sci-Fi Actress at the fourth annual Scream Awards. She decided to take the opportunity to clear up her stance on the 'Transformers' franchise.

"I don't usually do this, but I wanted to say something," Fox said. "There have been a lot of false reports about how I feel about this movie. I just want to be very clear that I've always felt I'm a very ordinary part of an extraordinary film."

"The movie took me out of obscurity and gave me a career, and I'm completely grateful to everyone involved with this franchise."

But if she is out for the third film, Deadline's Nikki Finke says, "This is without doubt a huge blow to Megan's career, already damaged by her inability to open Twentieth's Fox Atomic film Jennifer's Body last September."

The first 'Transformers' grossed $709.7 million worldwide, followed by $836.4 million for last year's 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.' Bay announced that he had scheduled 'Transformers 3' for July 1, 2011.

But even LaBeouf took a swing at 'Transformers,' saying he "wasn't impressed with what we did." He even went on to Bay "went so big that it became too big, and I think you lost the anchor of the movie."

Instead of just dropping Meagan Fox from Transformers 3, how about dropping Transformers 3 altogether? Michael Bay IS a hack and these movies are just more of the same brain garbage that hollywood shoves down our throats while their hands are in our pockets.

well i think that it will not make a difference without Fox in the movie,she is just a plain actress she is not that important.the movie is not only about her,she is not even the main character in the movie.I think another actress will do a better job than her.

i think what people fail to realize about Transformers all together is that its about the Transformers and not the actual actors. at least that is how i remember the "cartoon" from back in the day. i love what bay have done with the films including shia and josh even though i can't remember even the little human presence in the tv show. anyway as for megan she didn't really need to be in either film and especially the second one. i like her i guess but shia and josh can handle it i'm sure.

This director's manhood was hurt because Megan Fox didn't like him. I read lots of times that he was very rough on her on set. She helped make the first movie as popular as it was and she will be missed.

The movie will make tons of money with or without Fox. I think she was right about #2 , it was dumb but movie viewers don't care
they just go see whatever is considers the movie to see, good or bad.
The first Transformers was good, but Bay really made a mess of the second one. Example of many dumb things-- if they can change into humans then what the hell are they doing as a truck??
Just too many dumb things even for a make believe kids flick.
Megan will be fine, Hollywood doesn't care as long as you look good.

This is the only blog pole I've seen yet where more people voted in favor of the movie not having Megan Fox. EVERY pole, literally EVERY ONE, consistently says what appears to be the true case that the audience won't even notice this movie when it shows in theaters because Megan Fox isn't in it.

So far, Megan Fox not being in this movie is this movies ONLY REAL SELLING POINT!!

I'm glad I don't have a dime invested in this towering hulk of collapsing garbage, no pun intended. If they make a 4, which doesn't seem remotely likely now, they have to get her back REALLY BAD or they're out of business REALLY QUICK!!
