Scarlett Johansson's Mother Adopts New Baby

Scarlett Johansson has a new baby sister! Johansson's mother, Melanie Sloan, adopted a little baby girl from Ethiopia, UsMagazine.com is reporting.

Sloan was absent from Johansson's 'Iron Man 2' premiere last week because she was traveling abroad to pick up her new child. It's also been reported that Sloan was sidelined in Germany for a few days during her trip due to the volcanic ash cloud. She eventually made it to Ethiopia where she picked up her new daughter, Fenan. Sources say Fenan is about 19-20 months old.

Johansson's other siblings include an older brother, Adrian, a twin brother, Hunter, and an older half-brother, Christian, from her father's first marriage.

When contacted, Johansson's rep had no comment about the adoption.

It might not be too long before Johansson and husband Ryan Reynolds also look into adoption. Last year, Reynolds discussed the possibility with British Glamour revealing, "My oldest brother is adopted and I have every intention of adopting at some time. I'm very grateful for having my brother in my life. I couldn't be more pro-adoption."

There are plenty of U.S children to adopt, ask Sandra Bullock, she knows! Why do stars get foreign kids fast? MONEY stop stars from child trafficking, buying and selling of humans is illegal.

Huh? Your posting makes no sense. I am a parent who was 48 when I adopted a baby. Guess what? She will be 20 this year and I am still here! As to those who whine about Americans adopting children of other races and from other countries: how many white, American born children have you adopted? I agree with the statement that loving the child is the most important thing going. Also, given the way the media dogs celebs, think how fast they'd be after anybody who worked in an adoption agency to buy info on the birth parent(s) and then track them down for "important to know info." Give me a break, who wants to go through that crap? I hope Sandra Bullock made sure no one at the adoption agency she used will sell her out.

It is about Love love what do you feel inside and well as outside . I think some of you had been raised by your own parents to being so " Hateful" because, you all don't have a soft and warmth heart about different races, sizes, and many more. you don't have it in your heart to see it from all the celebrities wanted to adoption from outside the worlds it is because, they knew it any child who need love, respect, and understanding just like Actress Angelina Jolie felt it any races of the child who do deserve for love. I am not upset if they want to adoption in US or other countries. All I do care that child do need love as much as possible that never ever experiment in their lives by their decreased parents, unfit parents and many other issues that some parents can handle their own child any more not because, they don't love them.. it is because their own personal issues they need to dealt with it. If you don't like idea from celebrities whom adopted from another worlds. Don't put in there. All we care is Positive and Understanding.
