Bret Michaels Plans to Attend 'Celebrity Apprentice' Finale

Despite suffering what has been described as a warning stroke,
Bret Michaels will be at the live 'Celebrity Apprentice' finale this Sunday.
"As far as I know, Bret will be there unless his doctors tell him otherwise," his rep tells
PEOPLE.
"We're cautiously optimistic that he will attend the finale. But ultimately, it's up to his doctors," the rep added.
Michaels is competing with Holly Robinson Peete in the finale.
The Poison rocker was hospitalized again when he felt numbness in his arm. Doctors found that he had a small stroke as well as a hole in his heart, which is known as a Patent Forum Ovale. Neither are believed to be related to his recent brain hemorrhage.
The latest on Bret's hospital visit was released on his
Facebook page. His neurosurgeon, Dr. Joseph Zabramski, said, "There is no doubt that the positive Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO) is devastating news to Bret and his family. The good news is that it is operable and treatable and we think we may have diagnosed the problem that caused the Transient Ischemic Attach (TIA) or warning stroke."
"Bret's brain and body are not quite 100 percent yet, especially with the hole found in his heart. Further tests will be conducted throughout the week and I will have more information next week as to how this Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO) will be treated. For now, Bret will be treated with outpatient care which includes a daily injection of Lovenox (a blood thinner to reduce the chance of blood clots) and blood tests," the doctor added.
These newest health issues come on the heels of the singer's brain hemorrhage. On April 23, Michaels
made an emergency visit to the hospital after suffering a crippling headache that turned out to be a brain hemorrhage. He was in critical condition, but eventually recovered and was released. This week, Michaels spoke with Oprah Winfrey about the incident, saying, "I've never been shot, thank God, but I can tell you this: It sounded like a small handgun went off in the back of my head. They call it a thunderclap, and I've never instantaneously had a headache like that in my entire life. The word's not even a headache. It's like a migraine times 10."

Michaels is recovering from an emergency appendectomy at a Texas hospital. A posting on the 47-year-old rocker's Web site says Michaels was urged to go to the hospital as he was preparing to take the stage in San Antonio on Sunday night. He had been having severe stomach pains all day "and what was assumed to be a severe case of the flu." The statement says Michaels had emergency surgery early Monday, April 12, 2010, and is now "doing well and beginning the recovery process." (AP Photo/Dan Steinberg)

EXACTLY...I AGREE.
Give me a break. Michaels is a nobody. Take away that reality show about pole dancers and people would be saying, Brett who? What's up with the constant use of a bandanna? Is he bald?
Reply
He is way bald now!!! You don't want to see him without it. Its awful!!
Hater, party of one, your table is ready. LOL
Well maybe he is a nobody to you, but Poison was a really good band and Something to Believe In is one of my favorite songs. I guess all you cared about were his reality show and the pole dancers. For me, he's more than that.
GOOD LUCK AND WELL WISHES. I HAVE BEEN ROOTING FOR YOU ON CELEBRITY APPRENTICE SINCE THE SEASON STARTED. TAKE CARE.

AS if Trump wouldn't make Brett the winner of his show after this incident...especially if he makes an appearance. Holly knows she doesn't stand a chance at this point. The sympathy factor 'trumps' all. Gee, what an honor thiugh to be deemed Trump's next sycophant.
you are very nice guy , but Brett watch it on tv with your beautiful daughters, and i hope you win not because you are sick you were the BEST god speed for your recovery

Be careful with those blood thinners...one cut and you can bleed to death. My brother in law is on that pill and was told not to use razors anymore to use electric just in case So be careful and get better....

It's a shot, not a pill and you have to be checked frequently.
They have pills too it's called coumadin. My husband was on them
Like Sharon Osbourne, always sick. Is this a stunt for sympathy to slide into the winners seat? I wouldn't doubt it one bit. Keep in mind, he can say anything he wants medically and nothing can be proven otherwise as there is a privacy law.

Thank you! I think he's getting off on all the attention he's getting from being sick so everyday we have to hear a play-by-play in the media from him...why not recover in silence like most people would if they almost died?
Are you kidding me? His De. has been on the news talking about it. You think he faked it you have a very big imagination and a sad point of view on the world
has anybody ever seen the top of this mans head?

Can NBC pleeeeeeeeeeeeeze put that show out of its misery! I have never watched it and never will. A well scripted drama would be nice. Enough with the "reality shows" already!

You have never seen the show and never will. You have a very strong opinion for someone with no knowledge of what they are talking about. You are truly an idiot.
YOU people are the fool's. How dare you talk like that. RIGHT BACK AT YA. Hope you or a family member are in the same situation. Then see how you feel about Brett's struggle to keep it together.
A fan and close friend of Brett.
