Listen: Liza Minnelli Performs 'Single Ladies' for 'Sex and the City 2'

Are you ready for this? As previously reported, Liza Minnelli will be appearing in 'Sex And The City 2,' and (spoiler alert!) she'll officiate Stanford Blatch's wedding before busting into Beyonce's 'Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It).'

The track leaked this morning, so we're giving you the pleasure of a first listen. We're pretty sure you've never heard 'Single Ladies' like this before. Don't say we didn't warn you! Listen to the 'SATC2' track. >>

The 64-year-old screen legend says filming the scene was "a blast" (via Contact Music). "It's a wonderful number ... It's rock and roll. Everything is moving! And I just got a whole new knee, so I can promise you everything is moving."

Other stars who'll be popping up in the 'Sex' sequel include Penelope Cruz and Miley Cyrus. 'Sex and the City 2' will hit theaters on May 27.

I agree with nncybn, this is the first time I've heard the words - to my surprise Liza did a good job. I can see her mother Judy Garland joining her :) - that would have been great! Thanks Liza for letting us know what the song is about. In my generation words were sung and we understood what was being said.

The song, like so many these days, was written for singers who are somewhat limited vocally but capable physically. Lisa Minelli is one of America's great STARS. She now stands alongside her incredible mother, Judy Garland, after a career of excellence on her own account. I am surprised an entertainer the stature of Lisa Minelli even bothered with this collection of drum beats and inane words.

Actually, I like Lizas' rendition better since at least i can understand the words. And that is very important, how else can you know what she is trying to say. And as for her age, she is a real star and so was her mother Judy Garland. I'm 57 and I wish i could be half so good.
