Listen: Liza Minnelli Performs 'Single Ladies' for 'Sex and the City 2'

Are you ready for this? As previously reported, Liza Minnelli will be appearing in 'Sex And The City 2,' and (spoiler alert!) she'll officiate Stanford Blatch's wedding before busting into Beyonce's 'Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It).'

The track leaked this morning, so we're giving you the pleasure of a first listen. We're pretty sure you've never heard 'Single Ladies' like this before. Don't say we didn't warn you! Listen to the 'SATC2' track. >>

The 64-year-old screen legend says filming the scene was "a blast" (via Contact Music). "It's a wonderful number ... It's rock and roll. Everything is moving! And I just got a whole new knee, so I can promise you everything is moving."

Other stars who'll be popping up in the 'Sex' sequel include Penelope Cruz and Miley Cyrus. 'Sex and the City 2' will hit theaters on May 27.

She was always tone deaf-TONE DEAF- HELLOOOOOOO her voice goes off all the time- its horrifying. Thankfully the studio is loud enough to cover her voice. IS EVERYONE MAD?? THIS IS A VOICE??? THIS IS TONE DEAF PLUS SCREAMING- with great studio and great orchestra and Halston is dead- sadly.

I almost never get on these blog and by the looks of it; it appears that the majority of you have waaaay to much wasted time on you hands. with all single ladies impression that is out there, it seem that suburbia America from the youngest to very old grannies are obsess with this song and dance move, like her or hate her, Beyonce has put on spell on you people. Two problems with this cover: the song isn't rock n roll or pop, but rather hip hop/r&b and the feel of the song just isn't here in Liza's version. Second, performers should know by a certain age what they should and shouldn't do on the stage. Liza sounds like an old cow. Beyonce gives the number a spring-like lightness that goes with the fast beat. She also can sing rather than simply entertain.

This is the difference between a "singer" and a MTV media creation. Byonce could learn a million things from a Liza Minelli but she never will because she believes the media hype about her and is a gal who has been creted by engineers and PR people. Lia has earned her dues by playng small clubs, bistros, saloon, Boadway stage, films and concerts singing great music that America loves and will love till the end of time. Byonce sings essentially CRAP that the public doesn't know, doesn't care for and will forget the minute they hear it. Her only real venues are videos carefully constructed and filmed that features dozens of hangers on, special effects and focuses on everything but HER LIMITED VOCAL TALENT! Remember, the test of a true singer, as Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett both said, is a singer with a mike and a piano player who can hold an audience in the palm of his/her hand for two hours and get a standing ovation at the end. No one on the musical scene today, especially in pop-rock music, can do that except maybe Michael Buble, Jane Monheit, and Susan Boyle to name just a few.
