Clusters of candles, freshly-picked roses and massive amounts of champagne -- all of this romance can only mean one thing: 'The Bachelorette' premieres tonight on ABC with fan favorite Ali Fedotowsky as its leading lady. The token limos will deliver 25 dudes to Ali's doorstep in one of the most hotly-anticipated 'Bachelorette' shows ever -- but it won't go down without a scandal or two. We recently heard from Ali as she dished on TV-ex Jake Pavelka, the show's new twist, her fantasy suite experiences and why she'll wear some pretty casual kicks under her wedding dress. The Jake Factor
Ali will come face-to-face with 'Bachelor' ex Jake Pavelka and his fiancee, Vienna Girardi, for the first time since last season's 'After the Final Rose' at tonight's taping of ABC's 'Dancing with the Stars.' In a conference call with reporters, Ali said she and the man who once made her sob in the limo really are done. "I don't think that I'm supposed to be with Jake," she said. "I think he found someone, and he's with Vienna. They're happy and I'm happy for them." Ali didn't chat with Jake or Vienna before embarking on her 'Bachelorette' experience -- which will take her to Iceland, Turkey, Portugal and Tahiti -- but she did call former 'Bachelorette' Jillian Harris for her words of wisdom. "Her advice was basically to make sure I had a lot of travel hairspray on hand while we were on the road."
Drama 'Rated-R'
Much like Jillian's season, which saw seedy country singer Wes duping Jillian for a little TV airtime, Ali said there will be drama during her adventure. According to the blogosphere, the scandal has to do with a professional wrestler named Justin Rego (stage name: 'Rated-R'), who allegedly has a girlfriend and is on the show for the dreaded "wrong reasons." "Justin seemed like a really sweet guy, and I didn't really know what to take from that," Ali said coyly. But she did hint that the other 24 guys gang up on him via the show's new twist -- a ballot box that allows the suitors to vote for their least favorite man. "I was shocked about the ballot box and I don't even know what to make of it ... At the end of the day, I remember thinking from my season that I thought I had a better idea of what girls are maybe there for the right and wrong reasons the first night than maybe Jake did." But will she reject Rated-R on the first night? We shall see.
One Love
She's looking for a guy who's funny, creative and "a little different," but Ali said she won't be one of those Bachelorettes who stares into the camera and claims she's in love with more than one guy. "Jake had a really big heart, and he had felt that he had fallen in love with more than one person ... for me, I don't feel like my heart is capable of loving more than one person," she said. That doesn't mean, however, that Ali only visited one hot-tub-filled fantasy suite. "It's a perfect opportunity," she said, to have "really intimate conversations" with her favorite bachelors. "I didn't get any sleep those nights because we were up talking all night." But don't look for Ali to be fantasy suite-hopping between hunky male model types. "I don't care about looks," she said. "For me, it's is he funny? Creative? I want the guy in the corner that no one notices, but I'll notice because there's something different about him."
Laid-Back Bride
Her lips are sealed, of course, but if Ali did find "The One" on 'The Bachelorette,' she probably won't be planning an ultra-pink million-dollar TV wedding like Trista Sutter and Molly Malaney. "I have never in my life thought about what my wedding would be like," she said. "I don't like to be all glammed up." She may have to change that to adapt to rose ceremony cocktail attire, but at her wedding, the California girl said her style will be all her own. "I want my hair to be really natural and I plan on wearing Converse under my wedding dress."

After only one night of this show so far, I am not sure about it. Ali, so far has almost gotten on my last nerve. She is a typical, young, silly female. Cannot stand her voice or laugh. I may not last this entire show but leave as she did in the BACHELOR last year!

I am with you on this one. There is nothing special about Ali, she has an awful nose and a winey voice. What a pathetic human. ONLY OUT OF CUROSITY DID I WATCH LAST NIGHT BUT IT WILL BE MY LAST NIGHT. I THINK THESE PROGRAMS ARE DISGUSTING, TOO MUCH KISSING TO MANY PEOPLE..YUCK
You are the exact reason why racism still exists!! "why don't they ever have any black people" WAH WAH WAH!! Cry baby racist fool!!

For those of you intent on bringing up race......do you ever see a white female in the Miss Black America pageant? The answer is, "Never." You do see black females in the Miss America pageant however. Racial discrimination works both ways. I'm sure Bachelors & Bachelorettes are asked what they look for in a potential mate & the contenders are selected partially on that basis. Just because someone doesn't choose a significant other of another race doesn't mean she/he is racist. Those who continually scream racist create their own problems.

The Bachlorette will go the way of American Idol. These idiots think their show draws folks in just because they're there. Like American Idol this one will sink in the rating now that they've lined up people with ZERO interest. Who cares about this ditz - she has ZERO draw power. We deal with morons each day who go through life clueless - I don't need to watch another one on TV when I get home. RIP Bachlorette ratings.

Wah wah wah like the other guy said! Maybe you should watch BET (black entertainment!) if you want to see a bunch of blacks and hispanics! The guy is right we all walk on eggshells hoping not to offend you ni**ers! You've got BET, you've got the united ne*ro college fund, and much more! Oh but my god if we had the united white college fund we would be soooo racist! You're lucky to be here and if you don't like it, go back to your freaking homeland!

Gia wasn't "white." I don't know exactly what her ethnicity is, but I thought she could have been a good Bachelorette.

While reading AOL news I found this article. Just want to say to ABC reps who patrol these sites. I REFUSE to watch Ali Dumbkowski. I do watch the show but not this season. I will read instead. Now there's a novel idea.

The Bachelor and Bachelorette exist to feed the fantasies and happily ever afters of white folks and so what??!!! As a white Christian woman, it is a disgusting show.
This show cheapens marriage. It promotes promiscuity and HOE-Dum! It is not real..It is a place for ugly and average women of the "targeted audience" feel "special".

If you feel that way, why do you watch it??
DUMP ROBERTO I WANT HIM SO SEXY SO GOOD LOOKING
PLEASE, ALI.........????

LOL ... Ali is not particularly busty, nor are her eyes blue !!! I can't even remember a blonde, blue-eyed bachelorette ! I don't really suspect them of fake breasts, either ... think of Trista and Jillian. They are typically white, girl-next-door types. I think it's a valid point, about race, just a bit presumptuous about specifics. There aren't many porn-star-looking girls on the Bachelorette. There are plenty of other reality shows loaded with those !!!!!
