Judge: Lindsay Lohan Can't Drink, Must Submit to Random Drug Testing

Lindsay Lohan finally arrived in court Monday, and Judge Marsha Revel told the actress that in order to stay free on bail, she cannot drink alcohol and must wear an alcohol-monitoring SCRAM device and submit to random drug testing, TMZ reports.

Lohan must begin wearing the SCRAM bracelet within 24 hours and is required to attend all scheduled alcohol education classes.

Last week, Lohan was a no-show at her mandatory DUI progress report hearing because she was stuck in Cannes, France, claiming someone had stolen her passport. Judge Revel issued a warrant for Lohan's arrest, but the 23-year-old actress avoided arrest by posting $100,000 bail.

During Monday's hearing, Lindsay's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, began to object to the conditions, but when the judge said she would state out loud all the reasons why the conditions were appropriate, Holley backed off and accepted the conditions. Lohan's attorney said his client "is prepared to demonstrate by action that she's going to comply with all court orders."

The judge also indicated Lohan must stay in the Los Angeles area. Lohan's lawyer pointed out that the restrictions would prevent Lohan from traveling to Texas to film a movie, but the judge was unsympathetic.

When asked if she understood the conditions, Lohan simply answered, "Yes, your honor."

The judge set the next hearing for July 6 to determine if Lohan has violated her probation. If it is determined that she did violate her probation, she could be jailed for 180 days.

This all stems from Lohan's June 2007 arrest in which she was pulled over and taken into custody for suspicion of drunk driving and cocaine possession. Just a month earlier, she was arrested on another DUI charge.

In an interview Sunday night, Lohan said she doesn't deserve jail time or need rehab. "I don't see what reason I would go to prison for. I've been more than compliant with everything having to do with the court system," the actress told Hollywood.TV.

"I don't see why I would even have to do that considering I've been in compliance with everything that occurs when you're in the court system for two DUIs." Watch the interview:

She should have gotten some jail time or mandatory in house rehab something drastic needs to be done before she kills someone or kills herself by over dosing like so many others in recent headlines. Lindsey.....take a long hard look in the mirror before it's too late.

Her parents should be placed in jail for doing a bad job raising this woman. She also needs to be brought down a few pegs and I believe jail time (and not this in and out crap while being treated as royalty) may convince her that reality is tough and laws pertain to you as well.

180 days of jail will save her life and teach her a lesson she really needs to learn. There is no way she is going to be able to meet the conditions.All this does is delay her going to jail for maybe a week. Her inability to understand what is going on and her making herself out to be an innocent victim of the court and the world is clear proof she has zero grasp on reality.

no one else in the U.S. has had to go thru this much krap for a D.U.I., the judge should be reprimanded and removed from the bench for singleing her out just because she,s pissed off.

Excuse me but wasn't there a cocaine possession charge as well. The everyday Joe or Jane would already be in jail!

My reply: 1) There's also a cocaine charge. 2) She has been fielding excuses in an attempt to delay showing up in court. 3) This is for a 2007 DUI charge, a 3 year OLD one. And then she was arrested a month ago for ANOTHER. So even if you ignore the cocaine charge, she while avoiding going to court to go to this one got ANOTHER DUI, which is hardly the way to show one is responsible and isn't driving drunk now. But hey, if you think she's still being persecuted, so be it. Sounds like she's had it kind of easy until now with regards to this charge to be honest.

How many chances is this girl going to get? Her disrespect for the law, herself, and others is over the top. Jail time would do her good. It's only a matter of time before she blows this too.

Shes got money, shes going to keep getting off the hook until she runs out. Im 24 and have never been arrested but if I get pulled over for DUI and possession of coke Im going away for a long time... never mind if I had a DUI a month before. The courts in this country make me sick!

How can young people now who are much older could cast a stone at someone for doing something foolish. I am pretty sure they have done thing that they rather forget the have. To the young thing everything is so dam easy, but not when they mature both in attitude and in age will they know better. As for you dumb youngester who thing they know all "shut up". I bet you have done some stupid things in your life.

As for her dumb father now he want the court to do something where in the HELL was he when she was a minor. Hasn't he heard of "TOUGH LOVE" that is when should've done something about it he fail as a parent to minotor his daughter and check her activities. He had the money why did he not hired a detective to find out what is daugther was doing. THAT IS HIS FAULT AND NOW IT'S TO DAM LATE TO CRY HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

Any concern parent would do random check's on children. I as a parent alway did that and one time I found my kids play hooky from school. I may not be perfect but I try. The father should've notice or seen any changes in Lindsey and then act on it!!!!!

what about her enabling mother?. She certainly has a role in this mess also but the bottom line is that L.L has had enough chances to be responsible and enough breaks from the law. She needs to be accountable and pay her dues as any other adult has to ..regardless of her useless parents.
